This Week's Ongoing Projects

Unfortunately, I did not finish any projects this week since I had a hectic personal week. However, by next week, I will finish one of the ongoing projects I've mentioned in today's post and possibly, another project. It all depends on how the lip syncing for the first video goes.

After I finished writing the script for my Goku parody, I asked P.M Seymour to voice Goku and Yourtextspoken to voice Gohan. The reason why I wanted Yourtextspoken to voice Gohan is because Gohan needs to sound depressed and like a person who smokes a lot. I figure he fits the bill. I even asked my friend, thatdemo123, to port the Gohan model to SFM for me. Turns out, I'm the first one to use this model. Even better, thatdemo123 wants me to create more DBZ parodies. While I was waiting for the lines, I decided to make the set for the video. It's not much, but it fits the bill.


I got Yourtextspoken's lines yesterday and will start animating the video once I finish “It Came From Tumblr 7.”

Speaking of which, to prevent me from not having an animation done by the end of the week, I decided to animate another “It Came From Tumblr” video. Like the Gameindustri drama video, animating it wasn't that stressful, since I only needed to animate 4 skits. I will say that because of this special, I did find another voice actor who I plan to hire for future projects. I found this guy after I decided to animate one of his “Gee Bill” videos for “It Came From Tumblr 7”. I don't know why, but the guy sounds very similar to Purpleeyeswtf. Also, believe or not, “It Came From Tumblr 7” is basically done. I just need to render and edit the video. However, since I release these update posts every Friday, I might as well count it as ongoing. Here are a few screenshots from the video.

I did manage to animate another roast for the roast video featuring my friend Deadjosey. I was going to animate more this week, but due to school, I had to focus my attention on working on the Tumblr video. Here's an ambiguous screenshot from the video.

I also finished two scripts this week. One script is for this year's A Weeaboo Christmass 2016 special, which will have Santa Claus telling a kid he couldn't get his “most wanted” gifts, which are basically the 2nd and 3rd seasons of anime that will never happen. Thus far, I asked my friend Retro to voice Santa Claus, and Landy to voice the father and son who appear at the end of the video. The last voice actor I need is the boy Santa Claus will talk to in the video. I think I'm going to commission Blueburn67 to voice the kid since he does a good job voicing kids.

The other script I finished is for a Ghost In The Shell parody. Basically, Makoto gets hacked by a racist and does some messed up stuff in the video. The video will not have any racial slurs in it, but it will have Makoto doing and saying racist things similar to the upcoming “Torbjorn Hates Omnics” video. I asked Kira Buckland to voice Makoto since I think she has the perfect “tough girl” voice for Makoto. I emailed her the script a few days ago and waiting to hear back from her. She's a busy person, so I anticipate I won't hear back from her 2-3 weeks from now.

For the other Patron commission, it's going to take a while. My friend who's porting the Yuno Gasai model said that the MMD model has some texture issues he's trying to resolve. Going to check on the status for that next week.


In my previous update video, I talked about ideas for a parody poking fun at Ash Ketchum and a MGS4 parody video. I'm still brainstorming ideas for the videos, so the scripts for them won't be finished for some time.

This Week's New Ideas
The only new idea I had this week is a Dark Souls parody involving Solaire. Though I haven't beaten Dark Souls 1, I did play half of it and did beat Dark Souls 2, so I do have some familiarity with Solaire. The gist for the video is that Solaire is a cult leader of the covenant, “Warriors Of The Sunlight.” I feel like I'm going to push the envelope a little bit since some of Solaire's actions in the video will be like those of Jim Jones, the American cult leader from '70s.

Anyway, I apologize for the lack of completed projects and once again, I'm working on only one roast at the moment. To speed up my progress on the video, I'm going to dedicate Saturday and Sunday working on as many roasts as possible.
