Project HotS DE:FORGED v0.01!

MAP IS ATTACHED!

This is a custom map for Wacraft 3 Reforged (version  1.36+)!

It can be played singe-player or with up to 4 players!

It's a recreation of HotS heroes inside WC3 real time strategy gameplay!

(wc3 in turbo mode!)

"-solohero" mode
(control wc3 just like a MOBA, it's the control scheme featured in these videos!)

Jungle Monsters
(kill jungle camps to level your hero + get items, and buy the Jungle Offerings at the center of the map to respawn them!)

Stackable Items
( copies of items stack on the same slot! )

Improved computer AI
(it's still pretty weak though. but makes for good fodder! )

Empowered Spells
(HotS heroes use their stats to empower their spells (a little bit like LoL)!)

CURRENT DEVELOPER RECOMMENDATION

- SOLO HERO MODE versus multiple CPUs!

I like this one the most, but playing with friends should be working alright!
(It's probably gonna work better when more heroes are added!)

If you already have WC3 Reforged installed and want to play the map and check it all out first-hand:

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS!

- Just download the attached .w3x file!

Then:

1. Go to your Documents > Warcraft III > Maps folder;

2. Create a folder called HotSDeForged (or anything really)

3. Put the .w3x file that you downloaded inside that folder;

4. Launch WC3!

MANDATORY STEP!! MANDATORY STEP!! MANDATORY STEP!! MANDATORY STEP!!

5. Click the hamburger-icon Menu Button on the bottom right of the screen (or press F10)

6. Click on Options

7. Change the toggle from Reforged TO CLASSIC! (MANDATORY!!)

8. Go back to the main menu. Never put the toggle on Reforged!

END OF MANDATORY STEP!!

9. Then, on the main menu, click on Single Player > Custom Games

10. The folder you created on step 2 should show up on the list!

11. Click on the folder, then click on the map, then click the green button Create!

12. Add your name, then add as many CPU opponents as you wish and Start Game!

13. When the game starts, there are some additional instructions!

- Bonus Steps: If you have an old PC without a GPU (like me!), then I strongly recommend using Fullscreen + 1280x720p resolution (even if your screen goes up to 1920x1080)

- It will look a little blurry, but trust me, you get used to it very fast and it plays SO MUCH better!

:: You can also play with friends! I couldn't test it very much (no friends or good internet connection here!), but it should work!

- Problem: "don't know anything about wc3"

- Answer: Best part: you don't really need to!

The same way that MOBAs are a spin-off of RTS that require LESS knowledge to play it, so does my project requires EVEN LESS knowledge!

I even added a "-solohero" mode to the map, that allows the player to play the game just like a MOBA, without needing all the base management, or resource management, or unit selections, or build orders...

Play as just one hero fighting armies of units!
Kind of like vampire Survivors, but you have an enemy base to destroy, and the enemy is just slightly less braindead!
