Johnny — did you ever end up sharing that "infodoc"? Would be super helpful to see it 🙏 Loved this Q&A!

Paul Carleton

How are you doing research for your video? how to find out how deep we can go into the topic? Specially with YouTube video.

Dhruv Chaudhari

Hey Johnny. As you've been actively looking into content all over the world, and obviously on controversial content, it's often hard for yourself or your team to be on the ground team. Are you looking into expanding your team/"mercenaries of journalism" so to speak, all around the world to be your ground team?

Lee Jun Zheng

Hi, I'm from Honduras, and loved your Banana Republic video from like a year ago. Have you ever been to central america, any memorable experiences with Latin culture? (besides you living in mexico for a couple years)

David Erazo

How do you speak in a more journalistic voice within writing? Any books you'd recommend to read?

Do you think macbook m1 2021 model is good enough to edit videos in After effects especially the maps & beautiful edits you guys do? What specs should I go for (ram, ssd, pro or max) I currently have 16gb 2019 model (not m1), it’s slowww.

What's your plan for the future? What plans do you have for expanding your channel going forward do you have any plans to expand your style of visual storytelling into mainstream journalism?

Ian Jacobson

What’s up Johnny! What do you think is the potential of game rigging that happens during the World Cup? We’ve seen FIFA, Qatar, and others involved in corruption scandals, it’s hard to believe that the outcomes of each match aren’t affected by greed’s sphere of influence. Globally, sport bets are expected to surpass $160billion on this World Cup.

Yarddy Jaramillo

Do you ever consider doing a live production? Have you done live in the past?

Lin

Philip Bordon

What are two of the most interesting time periods in history in your opinion?

Philip Bordon

Hey Johnny, love the videos. What do you think is the most dangerous video you’ve ever done?

Philip Bordon

Hi Johnny! I love the work you and your team are doing, I feel every video is raising the bar even higher. I have like a thousand questions, but I will try to quit the list short: - I will start with a personal one, given you traveled a lot arround the world, do you still have countries you want to visit on you bucket list? - I don't want to spoil things, but is there any topic you want to cover that you know its going to be a very hard one? - Do you keep kind of an Amazon's wishlist of maps you want to have? - Over the years you cover a lots of geopolitical topics, which ones are your top 3 you consider the most interested?

Facundo Viale

Hi Johnny, huge fan of your work. I'm a college student, majoring in Finance, Your videos help me a lot in understanding the relationship and the correlation between countries in Economics and Foreign relations (I actually got an A thanks to your Vending machine video back in Border series days!). Wondering if you could share some of your books or audiobooks related to the geo-politic-econ relationship kind of stuff. Also, Currently, Do you have a list of countries you are planning to visit or revisit in 2023? Finally, any update on your Italian studying journey?!

Linh Chi Pham

Oh noo, I would be at school at that time :(

Kevin Liu

Hello, I'm a PhD in international relations and designer, your channel is huge inspiration, I want to learn more about Geolayers 3, I bought the software but I find difficult to learn, there is no A to Z tutorial or I wasn't Abel to find. Where is the best place to learn Geolayers 3 map animations? Thank you!

Alex

Hi! I served as an English interpreter at the Ministry of National Defense in South Korea and translated numerous official documents regarding North Korea. I truly loved the video “Why North Korea’s Neighbors Aren’t That Scared of Them”, and believe that it's also a wonderful video for the Koreans to watch. However, even though I want to share the video, the auto-translation is terrible, making it impossible to understand. As a result, I spent 3 weeks making a Korean subtitle for the video! I sent a DM with a Google Drive link to the final subtitle file. I hope you check it out someday :)

Hey Johnny, love the videos — you're a huge inspiration. You've mentioned in the past that you've started to use a teleprompter. Could you maybe share what your setup with it looks like? Thanks :)

Sayhyun

How many hours on the average does it take you and your team to produce each segment? How many members are on the team? When you are in the field shooting to you take everyone or use local crews? Thanks.

Joseph & Debra Brigandi

How do you work on several videos simultaneously and upload them consistently? How many people are on your team, and what are their roles? Thank you

Dima Bondar

Could you elaborate on your use of "visual ankers", a concept you have basically perfected and I find to be the cornerstone of many of your videos. How do you pick them, decide where they fit best in the story, etc. P.S.: Wrote an exam paper on your Border series and had a deep dive on those videos and your visual representation of facts, which I really like.
