HERE'S THE LIVE LINK

https://youtube.com/live/VZVjZF7Y_u0?feature=share

Hello and happy Friday, patrons! How are you doing? Okay, I hope! I'm doing pretty great all things considered! However, I'm a little swamped today so apologies for bailing on a full post on this beautiful Friday. Instead, I wanted to remind you that our BAR Flies livestream is set for THIS SUNDAY at 2pm PST! I'll make sure to post the live link over here a little before 2! I'm about 50 pages away from seeing just how remarkable these bright creatures are! Eeeeeee!

I hope you can make it. If you can't, I'll try to remember to post it over here afterwards.

Buuuuuut

In the meantime, let's get the conversation started. I'm gonna throw out some classic book club questions, answer whatever strikes you here (or at least start to), or think them over for our chat on Sunday!

Okay, that's it for now! Gimme some of your thoughts! I hope you all have great weekends! Otherwise I'll see y'all on Sunday! Thanks, as always, for being here! πŸ’šG

I loved how each of the characters were struggling with themes that are somewhat universal. These characters are all searching for a greater sense of autonomy and find true companionship in that endeavor. For a moment I wanted Cameron move in with Tova so she didn't have to sell the house, but by the end I was so happy to see all the characters move forward with their lives and seek joy (especially Marcellus!). Cried multiple times reading this novel.

Another thought, I think that the mystery of Erik’s disappearance would have been enhanced if the scene where Avery talks a young woman off the pier railing. With the young woman talking about a boom. If you ever sailed, then you know the risks of a boom shifting (can’t remember the technical term).
