[Episode Deneb] Progress Update III

Greetings,

talk-topics today are episode content creation, environment modeling, 'paranoia' and next tasks.

Episode content creation

Last week I started rendering and have finished the first scenes already. I've setup the event, triggers, hints, tasks and all that stuff surrounding a new episode to be able to test the script. Therefor, the first few scenes are also scripted already.

Environment

I've started creating the dance-club. The environment is based on the already existing information desk location. With a few modification and some additional assets I think it will serve it's purpose. The room itself is nearly finished. I just need to unwrap some objects again. After modeling some more scene fitting assets, I hope I'll be able to do some test renders this week and show them off next Sunday in the next progress update.

'Paranoia'

My system is running well, without any major hardware malfunction, blue-screens or other issues for quite some time now. I already have backups of most files which I do manually every other week and for the game itself I've a VCS. Anyway, the manual backups are bothering me and in case of a real accident I could loose a few weeks of work in the worst case and the fear of a malfunction is increasing. Therefore I bought a NAS and right now I'm setting up a scheduled job to synchronize my files and all assets I have to my new Raid just to be safe.

Next tasks

Finishing the environment and keep rendering.
