Dhio's probably one of my very very oldest characters I still draw regularly, I think he showed up some time in early high school and never left because he's hot and awful. Some day I'd like to properly work on the story he belongs to but I have a mess of other stuff on my plate to get through first.
I guess my "break" is technically "over" and I'm supposed to "go back to drawing for work" so I don't know if drawing for pleasure is going to be in the cards very much in the future. But it was nice to draw what I felt like when I felt like it! My resolution several years ago was to stop forcing myself to draw on my off-time because I was treating it as an extension of my job, it stressed me out all the time, and my already-injured hands were rebelling from overuse. For the past week or so it was nice to be able to have a leisurely amount of time to draw or not draw what I wanted for a bit.
My resolution this year is to dive back into non-art extracurricular learning, even if it's over ZOOM. Let's see if I can actually do it???
