Banana Sweets 1 - Cheer for Mrlagi

(Cheerleader into monster)

by BananaSweet

Alicia slumped down upon a fluid-slicked stump as she attempted to catch her breath. The air around her was heavy with the ammonic sting of mucus and the overwhelming tang of copper that was tasted more than smelt with each breath. She was surrounded by gristly white chunks of flesh and grey stringy viscera that were once massive organs all laid within a pool of blue blood that the flooded soil refused to swallow. Nearby, the giant squid that had terrorized her and the rest of the cheerleading team lay as a blasted ruin, its mantle blown to pieces and its massive eyes cloudy.

Scattered amongst the chunks of gristle that had rained down, and were still raining down, were ruby red ovoid eggs that once used to be her best friend Sally. Alicia had been too slow to get to the lakeside and got to watch as her friend’s flesh flowed and amalgamated until she was a simple string of cephalopod eggs. Her friend was gone, and although Alicia may have shoved a stick of dynamite up the beast’s siphon and ended its brutality, there was no victory to be had here. She briefly considered destroying the eggs, but she felt it would be unwise. What if they decided to hatch while she was dispatching them? What if they were filled with acid or some horrible venom? They could be dealt with later, there were no visible embryos in the faintly translucent sacks, and there were far more important matters to contemplate.

How would this go over at her college, would others blame her for the horrific deaths that everyone here had suffered? That question implied that she would even be a free woman once she left the camp, being black and in the middle of rural Massachusetts she didn’t have high hopes on the cops being understanding and upstanding individuals. The adrenaline buzz was fading away, her whole body trembled as the grim reality of everything started to sink in. Her chest tightened, and she attempted to spring off the stump, only for her feet to slip in the pooled and viscous blue viscera of the defeated squid.

She heard a wet crack as her nose impacted the ground, followed by searing pain in both her nose and the numerous cuts across her body. The blue coppery ichor stung at her flesh, sticking to her skin as she peeled herself off the muddy ground and tried to scramble away from the corpse shell of the squid and its boiling blood. The muddy ground gave way beneath her feet, and she smacked into the wet earth several times before her feet found purchase in solid ground and propelled her back up into a standing position. The strange substance that had covered her was hardening, forming a translucent blue membrane around her body that had a texture similar to waterlogged paper.

“Fucking gross,” Alicia hissed as she peeled the stiffening squid-gunk off of her body. Her skin underneath the film felt odd, tingly as though her skin was starting to fall asleep. Once most of the substance had been thoroughly scraped off of her skin, Alicia began the slow march back towards the campsite away from the shallow lagoon. After a brief period of walking, she stepped over the broken fence and entered the camp properly. Before her foot could even get the chance to touch the dirt on the other side, a maddening itch began to radiate up from her legs to the rest of her body. The cut flesh that had been exposed to the blood of her slain adversary was red and swollen, the lesions themselves expelling some form of clear fluid out and onto the rest of her skin.

Alicia’s hand was already halfway towards one of her irritated legs before she caught control of herself and withdrew the errant hand, instead choosing to continue shambling towards the infirmary cabin. “Of course it’s got acid blood. Next thing you know I’m going to have a damn squid pop out of my chest,” Alicia wearily laughed at herself as she leaned her bloody and bruised body against the door to the infirmary and opened it with a firm shove. The stench of rotting blood and death greeted her nose once again as she jammed the light switch back on, revealing the body of the camp nurse. Her torso opened to the air and emptied its contents from where the squid had been feasting on her. Normally such a sight and smell would have been completely intolerable, but Alicia was desensitized given recent events, perhaps even permanently she feared.

Stumbling through the scattered mess of the infirmary, she managed to locate a large tube of burn ointment, plenty of bandages, and a shower. Dumping all of her scavenged medicine on the counter near the tub, Alicia peeled off her ruined clothes and stepped into the shower after allowing the water to warm for a brief moment. It stung at her skin for a brief moment, but it was soon replaced by a feeling of great comfort as weariness crept into her body, making her arms weak and her legs feel as though they had been cast of solid lead. The water ran brown and blue with accreted muck and ichor before her skin was freed from the filth of her desperate battle for survival.

Steam saturated the air by the time she exited the shower, her legs trembling as she struggled to even take the smallest step out of the shower. Yet, somehow, she mustered the barest minimum of strength to towel herself somewhat dry and shamble out of the bathroom and to a prepared and unstained cot. Where she unceremoniously collapsed into a moist, tired, and naked heap atop the blue and white pinstripe sheets that smelled faintly of antiseptic and bleach. She tugged the sheets up and over her body, and finally let her leaden eyelids close completely as she curled up into a ball under the covers. Everyone else was dead, the entire camp was trashed. She’d deal with it all once she had a nap and didn’t feel as though she’d keel over in the middle of some important task.

----

Alicia’s eyes were closed for what felt like a minute, but that was more than enough time for her depleted body to slip into a deep and listless sleep. She floated in a deep and black abyss of consciousness-free existence, a restful state, but one that was notoriously fickle to maintain. Her troubled mind could not sit idly in this veil of ignorance, and Alicia fell into a deep dream. The sort of dream where things seem so real, where waking brings only shock from the sudden change in reality.

The young woman floated in a dark and water-filled expense, mere inches above a great plain of featureless grey mud studded with manganese modules. The barren landscape held precious little else, a few scattered echinoderms and crustaceans scraped a pitiful existence from the fallen detritus of fertile waters above. Despite her natural inclination to ascend upwards, to get away from this lifeless and boring landscape deep underneath the sea. Something in her mind compelled her to swim forward, she swore she could hear familiar voices and see the faintest outline of buildings in front of her. Though where the light down here was coming from, she could scarcely say.

She swam forward, she swam for what seemed like ages across the featureless plains until the glimpses of ordered shapes in the distance began to take on concrete outlines and shapes. A great and terrible city stretched for miles upon the horizon, its towering buildings were hewn from basalt and sandstone and seemed to twist and turn in ways that did not seem physically stable.

Dark shapes flitted between and around the towering black pillars, some appeared as though they were humanoid, whilst others looked more like fish from her distant point of view. As she watched the alien scene laid before her, Alicia began to get the feeling that she herself was being watched. The water around her seemed lighter, easier to push through, as though she was simply walking through it rather than swimming. She drew ever closer to the great underwater city, and as she approached the outlying buildings, the numerous dark figures that swam through the city stopped dead in their tracks. All of them had their eyes placed firmly on her, whether they were unnaturally human-like eyes or soulless piscine orbs.

The city was eerily quiet, the natural hums and groans of the deep open ocean had been replaced by a suffocating silence that clung around her head like a waterlogged blanket. Swarms of the city's inhabitants crowded around her and in between the buildings, forming a sort of ‘human’ wall that wrapped around to block the way she had come in. There was only one direction to go, forward, into a dark and foreboding urban maze. As she strode through the water, she glanced down at her hands and feet and saw that they were no longer strictly human. They were heavily webbed and almost looked like the ends of fish flippers with her digits all close together.

For some odd reason, Alicia didn’t feel a pang of worry as she admired her new appendages, even as the skin on her arms and legs began to flake away to reveal royal blue scales that glinted even in this lightless abyss. It was all just a dream, and she had always thought mermaids and the sort were awesome. She looked back up and discovered that she was completely lost. The background of the city blended together to form a disorienting matrix, and with the wall of inhabitants further blocking the view she had no idea of where she was now. Not that she had an idea of where she was, to begin with.

The buildings became sparser and sparser, separated by what looked to be deep-sea coral gardens and briny pools laid in rocky craters. Before those small plots of nature gave way to a smooth flat plane of polished gabbro. Atop this ebony plain rose the statue of an immense being, a fish-like humanoid coiled around a massive obelisk that sat atop four pyramidal legs. Around the base of this statue was a temple hewn from the same gabbro that made up the stony plain around her, while designed more orderly than the rest of the city its architecture didn’t match up with anything that Alicia knew about. The closest approximation she could make is that it looked like the pantheon, mixed with a ziggurat with terraced rows holding strands of ghostly white corals that stretched up and towards the surface.

The temple stretched out from the central obelisk, forming a courtyard in which a panoply of deep-sea life existed, with corals the size of oak trees and phosphorescent lophophores thicker and longer than her legs. Within the center of this macabre garden sat a peculiar symbol, consisting of the brow of some great creature peeking above the waves, which was then surrounded by a series of concentric rings inscribed with oddly familiar alien glyphs. Alicia had never seen this design before, but for some reason, she felt as though she had been here before, that she should remember this place and these symbols.

It had a magnetic pull to it, and as soon as Alicia tore her gaze away from the symbol, she gasped as she found herself suddenly displaced. No longer was she observing it from afar, she was standing in the direct center of it. For some odd reason, whenever she tried to pass through the concentric rings surrounding her, an overwhelming sense of doom and fear forced her to withdraw back to the center of the arcane inscription.

With her seemingly caught in a trap, a contingent of beings emerged from hidden areas in the courtyard or swam down from parts unseen. A circle of piscine humanoids surrounded her, most of them cloaked with scales and sporting a wide variety of body types and shapes. Some looked relatively normal, others appeared much more amphibian, one being even sported the arms of an octopus trailing behind them. Some did not even have legs, their hips terminating in a long tail.

All of them were well adorned, sporting complex jewelry of gold, silver, and other precious metals inlaid and studded with bloody garnets and greasy green pyroxene. The same symbol that she stood upon could be seen etched into the glinting adornments that covered these strange creatures, priests of a sort if Alicia’s gut feeling was to be trusted.

An awkward silence hung in the air as the congregation surrounded her circular prison. “What’s going on here? Who are all of you?” Alicia questioned, breaking the tension as she turned her head to look at each of the priests.

One of them strode forward, a feminine one judging from their shape and the heavy bare breasts that hang from their chest. They were amongst the more amphibian of the priests, their head was shaped like a boomerang or an arrowhead and adorned with metal plates that locked over the edges of their flanged skull.

“Why do you ask questions you know the answers to?” They sang in a deep and reverberating voice, like the strumming of a great instrument.

“Wait what do you mean know the answers to? I’ve never been here! This is all just a dream!” Alicia retorted.

“Dreams are messages from the Deep. You’ve heard our words, but you forget.” The priest replied.

“None of that makes much sense? You’re saying I’ve been here before, having this conversation?” Alicia questioned. She was no longer certain that this was just a dream, it felt oddly real, even though she shouldn’t be able to breathe among other discrepancies.

“You have been here many times, though our conversations have been largely different Mrlagi, Lost Daughter of Hydra.”

“Mer-la-gi? That’s not my name.”

“It is your name, Lost Daughter of Mother Hydra. Your coming was etched in the very rings that surround you. Just recently you slew a child of Soomaghkali, the great squid of the deep, not too far from where you are currently sleeping no?” The priest stated smugly, raising a brow at Alicia.

“W-what? How do you know that?! Who the hell are you? Where the hell is this place?! What do you mean ‘Daughter of Hydra’?” Alicia fired back, she had dealt with enough shit today, she wasn’t about to deal with this laying down either.

The priest smiled and placed a hand upon their breasts. “My name is Priestess Ftaghaan, and this place is just a few miles off the coast. We’ll be seeing each other shortly, we’ll talk more then.”

“Like I’m going to come visit you!”

“If that’s what you think, though, I think you won't have much of a choice in that regard. Anywho, it looks like our time is coming to a close. What’s going to happen next is going to be very discomforting but temporary. See you soon!” The priestess chimed in a semi-mocking tone before waving a hand towards Alicia.

The cheerleader folded inward as she was suddenly hurled back the way she had swum. The buildings of the city passed by in a frenzied blur as her velocity increased, lifting her above the featureless abyssal plain and into ocean water that was getting lighter by the second. Before long the ocean water had turned a deep sea-green and the sloping sandy bottom was visible once more before Alicia was hurtled out of the water, past the lagoon and the squid corpse, past the fence, and straight into the wall of the infirmary.

---

Alicia woke with a loud gasp, tearing off the sheets and clutching at her stomach in pain. A sheen of cold sweat clung to her skin, skin that felt unnatural and heavy, tight even. What the hell was that dream she just had? It had felt so real, and then she was back here in this dark, dingy, and damp cabin in the middle of nowhere!

She couldn’t handle both the mental and physical discomfort laying down anymore and she dismounted from the cot only to nearly fall onto the floor. Her feet were swollen, throbbing with pain as her muscles cramped up and locked her feet in a clenching position. The cramping affected her midsection as well, to the cheerleader it felt as though all of her organs were trying to slither around one another and tying themselves into a knot like some visceral rat king.

Her footsteps rang loudly through the empty infirmary, the wooden floors booming and creaking with each one of her plodding and stumbling steps as she sped through the building like a drunken tornado. Knocking over countless items from counters, smacking gurneys and carts aside, and trampling just about anything else that was in her way. She collapsed in a pathetic heap in the lobby of the infirmary, near the lukewarm corpse of the camp nurse. The pressure in her feet was unbearable, and she could do little else besides stare at the dramatic change happening.

The skin on her feet cracked and peeled away as though she had the world’s worst sunburn. In contrast to the rest of her feet, the middle and ring toes had their skin melt together as she became unable to separate the two digits as they fused together. Silvery scales began to push out from underneath her separating skin, whilst her toes elongated to make her feet look more like some reptilian beast. Her digits began to grow until they equalized in size, and her nails grew moist before they began to flow down and onto the ends of her toes, forming wicked claws. Finally, she could feel a slight stretching sensation as blue-green webbing formed between her toes, rolling upwards until it stopped just before her newly-created claws.

Alicia breathed heavily as she flexed and confirmed that the alien digits she was staring at were indeed hers. “So that wasn’t just a dream…” Alicia whispered to herself, her words trailing off as she saw the skin at her ankles starting to crack and peel in a similar manner to her feet. The faint outline of scales appeared under her calves and thighs as the familiar pressure began to build.

It felt as though something was constricting her entire body, pressing down everywhere and making it hard to breathe. Alicia slowly got onto her freshly transformed feet, her claws lightly gouging the soft wooden floor of the lobby as she walked to the entrance and threw the doors open. Moving it seemed, brought some measure of relief, as she could feel her skin tensing and snapping with each movement and flex of her body.

She walked through the camp, hyperventilating as the tightness around her chest grew and grew until with one final tumultuous pop the pressure was relieved and Alicia exploded outwards. Her skin clung to her body in tattered shreds and mats as her body grew to immense proportions. The buildings of the camp suddenly grew smaller as her height nearly doubled in size, her body expanding outward as layer after layer of fresh muscle fibers were added to her physique. Transforming her from a slender and well-toned young woman to a hulking ogress that could likely bench press a car.

Beneath the tattered remnants of her skin, the silver scales that coated her feet began to push out and form on everything except for her hands and face. The skin on her hands began to take on a bluish-green tint and in the faint reflection of a nearby puddle. Alicia could witness her face change to the same blue-green color before her hair swiftly fell out in clumps on the soggy ground beneath her, causing the teenager to clutch at her bald head in disbelief as she stared deeply into the increasingly alien reflection in the puddle.

“No no no, what the fuck!” Alicia yelled, startling herself by the foreign tone of her voice, far bassier and guttural than normal. The hands clutching at her head cramped as they too began to experience the changes that had taken the rest of her body, scales erupting through her old skin as her nails melted into powerful claws on the ends of her fingers. Thankfully, none of her digits had fused like those on her feet.

Alicia simply stared at her changed hands, clenching them and watching as the dense muscle beneath tensed and pressed against the scales above them. Just a few minutes ago they had been so much smaller, and human. She should be freaking out about this more, but now there was just… nothing. Not even the sharp sensation of spines and rays poking out of her forearms, calves, and along her spine could solicit more than a squint of pain from the increasingly piscine Alicia.

She stared deeply into that reflective mirror-like puddle in the middle of the campground, watching as her brown eyes were slowly subsumed by a rich electric-blue glow. Lines of luminescent lateral lines formed on her limbs and torso, her scaly hackles raising as she could suddenly feel the warm ocean breeze blowing across her body once again. Of course, there was more of a purpose to these pores than simple vibration detection. Alicia felt her spine crawl as she felt the sensation of something looking at her from behind. New muscles tensed and flexed underneath her skin, and in the blink of an eye, a beam of luminous plasma arced through the air as an electric shriek echoed through the camp. When Alicia turned her head around to look, she could see charred fur and a naked tail. The only remnants of a vaporized mouse that had dared get too close to her.

The spot where the mouse had been was a blackened and scorched crater, the stench of fried greenery cloying Alicia's nose as she stared blankly at what she had just involuntarily done. She turned her gaze from what she had just done and stared back into that mirrored pool that reflected the early morning moon. A pressure built in her jaw, spreading throughout all of her head as bones creaked and cracked. She doubled over in pain, her teeth tumbling loose from her jaw and landing on the soggy ground in a cascade of blood and enamel. She ran her teeth over her gums, the empty holes of her tooth sockets already filling up with fresh teeth more suited to her monstrous form.

She opened her mouth and watched as the crowns erupted through her fleshy gums. The new teeth were far bigger and spikier than normal, her canines looked fierce and stout enough to punch their way through sheet metal, with rows of carnassial molars meant to make mincemeat out of anyone unlucky enough to receive a bite. Her entire head was growing, her vision distorting as her eyes wobbled and shifted from the expanding and changing proportions. She still looked somewhat human, although significantly more monstrous and ogroid. Her eyes remained unchanged, still appearing as dual globes of amber slightly sunken into her sockets.

Itching erupted across her scalp as long and unruly black hair began to push out, falling past her shoulders and draping a greasy curtain just above her eyes. Fins similar to the ones poking out of her spine and limbs formed along the sutures of her skull, robbing her head of its humanity.

Alicia fell forwards, catching herself with her hands as she stared directly into the puddle. Tense seconds passed, seconds that turned into minutes. She breathed a sigh of relief as her body remained unchanged, at the very least nothing *worse* would happen now. Now she was just stuck with the reality that she was a giant fish monster in a world likely to be unaccepting of giant fish monsters. If she wasn’t going to face issues owing to the dead cheerleading team before, she sure as hell was going to get blamed for it now.

Her face twisted at the injustice of it all, and she punched the puddle with one of her great fists, transforming into a soggy crater as water and mud speckled her scales. For some odd reason, that action made her feel better, made her feel powerful. She flexed her muscles, feeling the tension and power as her joints popped from the force. Maybe… maybe she could get used to being this strong. She slowly got back onto her feet and blinked at just how much smaller the world seemed from her new height.

With nothing else to do, and being far too large to head back inside any of the buildings. Alicia strode towards the lagoon where the corpse of the squid, which was apparently the child of some weird entity she couldn't remember the name to. Which suited her just fine, her name for the formerly alive squid was ‘Asshole’ and she didn’t see much need to change that. She took a seat on the stump near the best, which was now much less spacious, and let her mind wander a little bit. Where am I going to go now? What would Chad think of me now?

Her mind lingered on the College’s star quarterback, his handsome chiseled face, his body stocked with trim muscle and kept shaven and smooth. She felt a soft tingle in her nethers that prompted her to spread her legs wide. Her meaty pussy had only grown bulkier as a result of her transformation, with thick animal-like lips, a huge button-like clit that just barely poked out of her folds when aroused, and flesh colored an electric, almost luminescent blue.

She dropped down to her knees, letting out a deep bestial groan as he squeezed her meaty folds. Plunging a finger deep inside her electric blue folds, Alica cupped a heavy tit and began to jill herself off as wild scenarios of her and the star quarterback began to fill her head.

His body pinned underneath hers, fingers clutching at moss-covered rocks as each bounce of her hips caused her to clench around his cock, grinding her sensitive flesh against that soft-but-hard pillar.

The thought of him pinned beneath her, cock embedded deep inside her, was enough to nearly bring her to climax. Her clit throbbed angrily between her fingers as she fingered and kneaded her soaked lips.

Chad moaned into her ear as she curled her body around his, his hips unable to go anywhere but forward. His own body betrayed him as he thrust forward in an orgasmic frenzy, his balls tightening as he unloaded rope after rope of pearly seed deep into her.

Alica’s masturbation reached a fever pitch before her eyes rolled back in their sockets and her entire body was overcome with a thunderous orgasm. Electricity arced up her spine, literally, as her body discharged a mighty current that annihilated the nearby tree stump. Her limbs and belly seemed to radiate with warmth as her muscles grew slack and weak from the waves of pleasure resonating inside of her, making it hard to even breathe as euphoria held her tightly in its clutches.

She caught herself with a balled fist, having barely realized that she had fallen forwards. Her entire body tingled with the electricity she had just dispersed, her scales standing on end as power arced between their peaks. Having just had an orgasm that powerful, she knew what she needed to do now, her thoughts drifting further and further away from human as the brain between her ears slowly twisted and succumbed to the transformation  that had claimed her body.

The moon still hung high in the sky, and the dawn was hours away at best. The football team would be arriving in the late morning, and Alicia needed to prepare.

---

A white charter bus rolled down the road, its lights barely piercing the thick and choking fog that clung to the vehicle as it descended down the incline to the camp. It managed to roll forwards a few hundred feet before the engine guttered and winked out. The driver let out a disgusted sigh and forced the transmission into parked as the emergency lights on the bus blinked on.

“Ah, piece of shit. Line probably blew or something, cheap bastards won’t keep up their equipment…” The driver grumbled, their complaints trailing off into a jumbled, gravelly mess as they tossed open the doors and stepped out into the gloom.

Inside the bus, the Innsmouth Corsairs football team was your typical collection of college-age jocks. The bus driver hadn’t even stepped off the bus before they were already gossiping and chatting amongst themselves like the girls they loved to make fun of. Some giggled at how the situation they were in seemed straight out of a horror movie, while others brought out their phones or began horsing around with one another.

Near the front of the vehicle, the star quarterback Chad awoke from a deep and dreamless sleep by the chattering around him. He tensed his muscles, feeling the tightness ease from them as his joints popped. Rubbing his eyes with the outside of his thumbs, he leaned over to look at the driver’s seat only to see that they were missing.

“What’s happening?” He mumbled to a nearby linebacker, his voice thick with uncleared phlegm.

“Iunno man, driver started mumbling and cursing about the engine and they just got out of the bus like a minute ago. Didn’t you say your dad was a mechanic or something?” The linebacker answered, then questioned Chad. Giving the star quarterback a few thumps on the back to get him awake and maybe clear his throat at the same time.

“Yeah, Dad’s a mechanic for a trucking company. I’ll go see if they need any help,” Chad grumbled as he slowly stood up. Stretching all the while before slowly making his way over to the vehicle’s door. He pried it open, and emerged into the cold misty morning, and made his way to the front of the bus. Only to find that the bus driver was nowhere to be found, the bus’s engine cover was still open, spilling the heat of the recently-stilled engine out into the foggy night.

“Uh… Bus driver? Are you out here?” Chad yelled into the fog, his words trailing off to a hacking cough from the sudden chill in the air. A few tense moments passed before Chad cried out again, only to receive silence for an answer once more.

It was dead quiet outside, save for the soft whistle of the sea breeze and the distant din of waves lapping at the nearby shore. Far too quiet for Chad’s preference, quiet enough that he began to have dark thoughts about what had happened to the bus driver. Steeling his nerves, he slowly strode out into the fog to the very edge of the headlight’s illumination and called out to the bus driver again. Still there was no response, and it wasn’t as if the driver would just up and leave them.

Chad turned around for a brief moment, only to quickly spin back around as he heard the clinking of metal on metal and the splat of something organic on the pavement. His blood ran cold and his skin turned deathly pale as backed up towards the bus. The noise increased in frequency, being joined by the sound of tearing air. From the fog, a bloody arm soared through the air and landed with a wet thud near Chad’s feet, and the quarterback let out an uncharacteristically feminine scream.

An object hurtled through the air, nearly wiping Chad off the face of the Earth as it slammed into the front of the bus. A sickening crash of metal impacting metal rang out, followed shortly thereafter by the crunch of breaking glass and the screams of the football team. Chad turned to look towards the bus, and saw that it was now a wrecked heap with an anchor embedded deep in the front of the bus, with the mangled corpse of the bus-driver lying in a pool of blood, motor oil, and impact-pulped viscera.

Heavy thumps sounded through the air, a massive shape appeared in the fog, barreling towards Chad. He let out another screech of terror as he ran to the side, only for the massive creature to barrel straight past him and slam against the bus. In the thick dark fog, he couldn't make out what exactly the creature was. He could see that it was humanoid, and easily the height of two men if not more, its skin dotted with phosphorescent circles that outlined its frame in the night. It spread its arms wide, and grabbed both side of the bus with ease as it let out a deep feral snarl that reverberated in Chad’s bones.

The entire bus began to move, and the football team inside exploded into action once more. Some screamed, some questioned what the thing was or what the hell was going on, some prayed, and the smart ones had already pulled the emergency levers and were crawling out the windows. Those too shocked or too panicked would soon come to regret their decision later, or in the hereafter as the creature began to move the bus. Turning it sideways and lifting it over the guard-railing, those still inside were knocked off their feet as they tumbled to the floor, sliding around as the entire bus moved around them.

Chad stood there, only able to breathe as shock clouded his mind. The creature flexed, the bus tilted backwards and began to slide off the edge of the sheer cliff. The wheels caught the railing for a brief moment, before they gave out under the weight of the vehicle and sent it hurtling down. A few sickeningly long seconds passed by, before a loud and muffled crash echoed across the empty highway. Of the 53 players on the team, only six had managed to get out, Chad himself included among them.

The creature turned around, and Chad could get a far better look at it now. It appeared to be a massive fish-like creature, with silvery scales, fins, webbed appendages, and very generous feminine assets. Its eyes gazed across the road, looking at him and the remainder of the survivors. Most of whom were just recovering from having crawled out of a bus onto a five, and one who was already sprinting full speed down the hill. The creature snarled and began to make its way towards Chad, the linebacker he had just talked to lay inbetween them, unable to stand with a broken knee from his awkward exit. He tried to crawl out of the way, letting out a guttural scream of terror before the massive creature’s foot came down on his chest. A sickening crunch rang out, followed by the abrupt gurgle of air and fluid escaping the linebacker as he went limp. The pressure exploded his heart, instant death, at the very least he didn’t suffer for long.

To Chad, the swift and unmerciful death only deepened the shock he was currently in. It felt as though a vice was wrapped around his chest, a cotton plug shoved in his throat, and cement in his shoes. The creature plodded towards him, only for one of his teammates to charge the beast with a defiant roar, a large and jagged axel held in his hands as a makeshift spear. The metal impacted the side of the fish monster, plunging past the scales and sinking in a few good inches into her thigh.

She let out a furious snarl, turning her head towards the stocky man with murder in her eyes. The man backed up, tripping over himself slightly as she reached down with a mighty hand and pulled the metal bar from her flesh without so much as a flinch. She tossed it aside, and then lunged forward suddenly. The man stood no chance, the beast’s fist impacting his chest and sending him flying high into the sky with a devastating uppercut.

Chad gasped as someone shook him, slapping him lightly in the face as they screamed at him to start running. Finally, life returned to his body and he felt like he could move again. He managed to back up with the person holding him, half dragging him along. Although it was far too late, a great scaled hand descended and wrapped itself around the head of his guide. The dude kicking his feet and trying to pry his head free as muffled yells and curses leaked through the closed fist.

He looked up at the great beast looming over him, with another unfortunate soul in its hands about to meet another grisly fate. The phosphorescent spots dotting her body began to glow with increasing intensity, the air starting to reek with the scent of ozone as the captured man’s curses turned to shrieks. Smoke began to leak out from her closed fists, as flashes of electricity illuminated the surrounding fog a vivid purple. Then, the man in her grip exploded, parts of his body bursting open as steam ripped through his body, filling the air with the stench of burnt hair, cooked meat, and burning blood.

She dropped the ruined, half-charred carcass onto the ground, and turned her eyes back towards Chad. The footballer gulped, and tried to back up. It didn’t get him very far, as the creature simply scooped him up effortlessly and slung him over her shoulder. He wasn’t dead yet, which wasn’t a good thing for all he knew. She could just want to eat him for later, or to do worse things. Maybe he could even escape if he was careful.

As the monster carrying him walked down the road, Chad could spy someone pick himself up from the bushes and quietly power walk up the road. He felt the urge to call out, but kept quiet, she could catch him easily if she found out, and there was no way the person was going to be quiet about this. Help would come, right?
