Weekly Inquiry 9: Would you kindly... or not?

This week we will have the new commissions and a couple of captions to celebrate the 505 watchers on DA.

For the inquiry I have another simple question suggested by a good friend of mine, but that is as core to the whole TF mythos as Magic and Science are.

There’s many ways a transformation can be triggered: Planned, accidentally, a poor thought wish, a cosmic joke, the act of a wicked evil dude with red horns and round glasses... but we aren’t going to fixate in that today, but in how the person reacts to the changes.

They reject the change... or they accept it?

Of course, there can be a shift from one to the other in the course of a transformation, an unwanted change that ends in willingn or regretful acceptance (may be my favorite version XP) or a wanted one that gets twisted into something not desired, but let’s keep the fallacious dichotomy for the sake of discussion.

Do you prefer when the “victim” is willing or unwilling?

Comments

That old TF debate about how much the mind of the "victim" should change. I generally stand in the middle: Mostly the same mind, but with the new instincts.

Many of us would certainly be willing to brag for ourselves. But do we really want to go the way when it's open to us? I am therefore more in favour of the victim beginning the path reluctantly, rejecting the transformation, fighting against it. Towards the end there can be a change of mood, because the inevitable comes and you have to make peace with your new existence. You also need this peace to keep your consciousness. I don't like it when this is wiped out at the end of the transformation.
