Plans for April 28-May 3
Added 2024-04-26 21:51:05 +0000 UTCI got another chapter done today! I wasn't sure if it would happen because I was super busy with my audiobook giveaway -- if you haven't commented on the post yet to sign up yet, you have until Sunday! -- and because I went to lunch with my wife for my birthday, but I managed to sneak it in.
It's getting relatively near the end. The first book was 145k words and I'm aiming for something similar with book 2, and it's already at 107k. There's still a few important events that need to happen, but I think I can get it all in the 40k or so I have left to write, which means it will likely be done the week after next. Somewhere around May 8th or so is my best guess, though I could really knock some extra chapters out next week and get ahead.
I don't have any releases to promote coming up, though I'll be wrapping up the giveaways I'm doing here and on Facebook on Sunday; otherwise, I'll be writing all next week!
Also, as a heads-up, for my Journeyman Adventurers ($5 tier), the 30 advanced chapters compared to Royal Road releases for the Fusionist basically capped out this week with what I had available, so there will be about 2 weeks with no new chapters (because they haven't been written). I'll be getting to Fusionist Book 6 after I'm done with Unexpected Healer book 2, and it'll be a week or two before I'm caught up again. Hopefully the Healer chapters will help tide you over!
Novice Adventurers ($2 tier) will still be fine going forward, as there shouldn't be any delay in released chapters.
Here are my plans for next week:
Sunday: Some writing, wrap up giveaways by choosing winners and sending out the many codes involved
Monday-Friday: Writing!

I hate audio... it's personal I suppose. I'm fixated on what characters sound like when I read... having someone else try to impose their idea just kills the story for me. That said you've made someone's day. Kudo's for you and for them.

I was hoping there would be #3 as I didn’t see how it could be resolved in the predetermined length, but I have learned not to assume. While I have read almost all the assorted books out- I think this is my favorite series so far. I’m glad it’s still speaking to you and looks to have a future! Happy birthday again and hope the weekend is awesome!
