Maybe it’s just me, but I noticed the slight difference in behavior from Matteo to Francis compared to his behavior with mc. Also, the ending lines have me shocked. I didn’t know King Charles didn’t love Alvena’s kids even to the very end in the original story. That changes things 😭

I did like the moment of my Francis giving her the flower and melting her walls a bit ❤️ It’s sad that Isabelle and Alvena’s friendship seems to be doomed no matter what. (Though perhaps there will be a difference in the Alvena marries Matteo AU).

2025-02-25 17:24:05 +0000 UTCYou're welcome! I had fun coming up with them. Real excited for the Alvena marrying Matteo story. As for my thoughts on this story, really liked it! It was well bittersweet, kinda hurt my heart! Richard living happily with younger siblings, Charles showing up for and loving his children... Aah! Atheris's self imposed distance was sad, but I loved having my Francis reach out to her and melt her walls. And Charles being a loving father to her was just so bittersweet. A shame he couldn't show her half that decency in the canon timeline, even though she was born before the poisoning. And it was very interesting to learn the name of Charles's mum. Elisa. Alvena’s relationship with the king was interesting. I do kinda hope the relationship politically married Nicholas has with MC turns out like this but better when my Queen marries him for the alliance but romantically marries Clara or Xavier. Shame Alvena and Isabelle still didn't have that much of a positive relationship, but I guess th schism caused by their relationship with Charles just couldn't be repaired. I wonder who would be more worthy in this timeline? Would be hilarious if it were Atheris; an Alvena child worthy no matter what.

In the time I waited, I made a list of other What If ideas you could write: • What if Alvena married Matteo? (MC would be their child) • What if Raleigh Everan didn't die? • What if Daemir didn't expose King Oliver's betrayal? • What if King Oliver never betrayed Charles? • What if King Oliver brought Lena with him instead of Xavier? • What if Erwan was raised in Rhivenia? • What if Freya was worthy? (Of course, a reason why MC would be worse of than Freya would have to be contrived) • What if Charles wasn't poisoned? • What if Charles was a present father? • What if Charles didn't marry Isabelle but still married Alvena? • What if MC wasn't born and Richard, Atheris and Freya were Charles’s only children? • What if MC were a twin?

2025-02-25 14:38:34 +0000 UTCIt's so sad to see Queen Alvena and Atheris like this, I'm glad it didn't happen, I really like Alvena and Atheris :D but it's nice to see short stories like this, we see different scenarios, also it would be nice to see a short story where Alvena loves Matteo and the MC and his sisters are their children. (I should also add that it really hurt me to see my dear Clara with Richard I will repeat the treatment I gave him in the tournament :D)
