2024-02-18 00:26:57 +0000 UTCOkay, so I will also go on a rant with you in a very non-platonic way, as cows do: Making Struggle Marketable: Just doesn't seem possible. No one likes the rough and tough times that come with certain stuff they just want to see the finished product or see someone do something really good. Because struggle doesn't look appealing. But I personally like the process of struggling & getting to the destination but maybe it's just a person by person thing or a generational thing. But I love that kind of stuff but I be in the minority on that aspect. The same would apply to " boring ". I've questioned that myself. How do I make struggle or something that's not particularly well known or " boring " marketable? It is kind of interesting but a rabbit hole that a cow can't really fit through. And then that leads into potentially marketing something else about that video or clickbaiting if one likes to fish. But fishing feels dirty sometimes. I Know How Make Thing Look Pretty I've had the same struggle in the past and still do. I know how to make something look Good a decent amount of times but that doesn't necessarily equate to " clickable ". So that's just pretty much to say that I relate. That is all. Art Form like Kung Fu Creating art can be enjoyed by oneself but usually you would like to share that with others. I feel like that's natural. You make so that you can Express creativity and share so that people may look. So if it's done really well but not many people see it, sometimes it can make you feel a certain way. And I keep saying " you " but I'm just saying " you " in general as in me or anyone else who relates cuz we are one in the same body but not really. Ahhh, Speaking in generalities. A way of life. AB Testing I don't have any experience with A/b testing but I feel I would be annoyed by trying to use it because I usually like to try to get a thumbnail down one time because it takes a lot of time. Unless the one I make is kind of crappy then maybe I'll think of making a second one. But one way that I have been able to try to keep my mind on track as to making a title and thumbnail is by following this kind of thought process before getting into anything (for those whose eyes may have peripherally seen dis): Audience Fulfillment (is it a...) - Desire - Dream (End Goal) - Fear - Interest - Current Beliefs I don't necessarily have the numbers or anything to make this idea seem attractive but it has been keeping me on track. Even if it's with a topic I feel people aren't interested in, it will at least keep me on track as to making it appeal towards specific types of people. I have other things that I do as well but I won't send it all here as this snake of a comment is long already. But even then, one sometimes just wants to get stuff out there without putting so much thought into it because humans are weird creatures to try to please. Which is why we are cows. Personality & Editing Simply, I can relate. Maybe not in the same exact way but for me, I typically post in a niche where people only want bland game play with no editing and person attached to it. But I like having myself in the video and doing a whole lot of editing because it's fun, I'm funny, And I laugh a lot when I'm editing. It's a weird thing. And that's all that I can think of right now so my Sega add-on cartridge rant is over.
