Hog Mama

Howdy all! Quick life update before we get into things! My work has concluded for the summer, so I'll be taking a small recess to decompress and chill. Then I'm picking up some part-time work to pay the bills for a few months before I return to my job in the fall. The main point of this being that my personal workload will be much, much lighter, so I'll have way more free time for art-making! (and WIP-finishing)! Hold on to your butts! >:3 (And have a nice summer~)

So here's some concept art for Tibbs' mother, Luanne (but please, call her Lulu!). Unlike her son (a wild hog), Lulu is a regular domestic pig (Sus domesticus), and she fits just about every swine stereotype that exists in FB. She's loud, crass (big belches and armpit scratchin' are regular events with Lu), a big eater, and well, pretty pigheaded. She's also tough, brave, loyal, and far more perceptive than anybody would guess. She's the "aggressively mom" brand of mom, and she's gonna mom you whether you like it or not. You will eat her piled-high Scooby Doo-esqe sammiches, you will tell her who put that frown on your face, and you will stand back while she beats them up. Tibbs loves her a whole lot. They're parent and adult child, but also friends~

quick facts about Lulu

-She used to be a real badass biker bitch and dreamed of playing in a rock band, but gave all that up when Tibbs was born. Speaking of, Mister Thibodeaux Truffleton the Third is named after Lulu's own beloved dad, as Tibb's bio father sadly is not (and never was) in the picture.

-Lulu owns a motorcycle repair shop and is the one who refurbished/customized Tibbs' much-beloved vintage motorcycle, Jolene. She imparted all of her mechanic know-how to Tibbs growing up, as well as a steady diet of classic rock cassettes and fried fake-bologna (bolognain't?) sammiches.

-Luanne's voice is pretty low and raspy because she might've been a chain-smoker before she got pregnant. She has a strong, strooooong Louisiana New Orleans accent. Tibbs' own (very subtle) accent becomes more pronounced around her.

(attached is some Lulu concept art- I originally saw her as a scary-looking wild sow before I decided I wanted her to contrast more strongly against Tibbs. Also, babie Tibbs! Itty bitty music snob~ He was a teeny runt of a piglet that grew up to be absolutely fucking massive, Lulu is very proud!)
