Concept Art: Maul Madness Ladies

a few of the ladies of Jude's punk rock all-carnivore band, Maul Madness. There are five members total (Jude, Savannah, Raduga, Isla, and Katie). Tossing out some quick concepts for their costumes and general vibe

Jude is the founder of the band. She sings lead vocals, plays the electric guitar, keeps the girls motivated and the crowds amped, looks for gigs, and ultimately keeps everything afloat. Forming a rock band has been Jude's dream since she was a pup, so she's pretty pumped that Maul Madness is as successful as it is. The band isn't rolling in cash, but they're becoming more and more prominent on the indie scene, which is more than Jude could've ever hoped for back when she was stapling "Bandmates Wanted" posters to the wall outside Critter City performing arts center. Rock & roll is Jude's first and truest love, and her enthusiasm is infectious. She's truly at her most dog-like when it comes to the band, coaching and encouraging the girls with vigor (and a wagging tail), and occasionally unable to resist a booming howl when she sings. Although her bandmates were initially pretty unsure about the band (as well as their own unrefined musical talents), they've all come to respect Jude as their pack leader. Their bimonthly jam sessions are now as passionate as they are LOUD.

Jude's day job is that of a mechanic/general handywoman. She sometimes trades big repair jobs to locations in exchange for hosting the band. Maul Madness' sound is a blend of punk, hard rock, and heavy metal. I imagine Jude's singing voice sounds a lot like this. 

Savannah (stage name Savannah Savage) is Jude's second-in-command. Perpetually tired and surly (yet nonetheless loyal and invested in the band), Savannah channels her frustrations with carnivore life into the band's lyrics. Savannah's songwriting style is pretty aggressive, loaded with violence, sex, and an overall embrace of carnivore savagery. Jude and Savannah actually butt heads over this on occasion, with Jude wanting to tone things down as to not scare off herbivore listeners, and Savannah arguing that they owe it to all the frustrated, put-upon carnivores of the world to finally give them a space to be authentic and animalistic.  Indeed, the band walks a delicate tightrope between being palatable vs being honest, and the girls often vote on whether certain lyrics cross the line. Fortunately, Savannah is constantly, pleasantly surprised by the creative freedom she is allocated. Despite her grumpiness, she'd kill for each and every one of the girls.

Savannah of course works as a nurse. Besides writing songs, she plays bass for the band and provides backup vocals. 

Ra-Ra-Raduga! Is now in Fuzzbutts. >:D Her personality is as unchanged as her thick Russian accent. Eccentric, opinionated, and with a strong sense of justice, Raduga has proved a perfect fit for the band. She quite likes spooking people, and her silly, disarming antics conceal a very perceptive mind. Got a crush on someone? Raduga knows before you do. Raduga knows you cheated on your diet. Raduga knows you're angry at your mother, and she knows why. Raduga sees all, knows all. Fortunately, she can be bribed into silence (or persuaded to share a bit of gossip) for a tasty bit of (lab-grown) bone marrow.

Raduga plays the keyboard, designs costumes, and handles special effects for performances. She's quite fond of pyrotechnics. Outside of the band, Raduga happily works as a costume designer/seamstress at Rainbow Road Theatre, under Zee.
