Fuzzbutts Discussion: PB and Jam?

Peanut butter horse and jelly horse have come so far in the pandoraverse! Now I wanna make Fuzzbutts versions of them. Tell me, what sort of animals do you think PB and Jam should be? They don't have to both be the same species, they can both be different critters entirely! :) I think the Sweets would've adopted PB and Jam like they did with Cupcake, so the sibs are not sugar gliders like their parents. I'm looking for species that are good matches for their personalities, while also being unusual, not-often-seen-in-pop-media kinds of animals. For example, at one point I considered Jam being a fossa (a carnivorous mongoose-like mammal):

gerbil I think would work real well with pb. and perhaps a racoon for jam? not terribly original I know but! I think those would be super fitting. someone else mentioned a platypus and I think that'd be cool too!
