i imagine twilight's reputation as a princess took a big hit from her....unconventional romantic partners, mostly in canterlot, where the nobility is obsessed with tradition and marriage and well-pruned family trees. many a gossip rag was printed decrying twilight's "degeneracy" and potential corrupting influence on the youth. at first twilight worried to death over this and exhausted herself trying to do damage control and assure the public she was a proper princess....before eventually she asks celestia what she should do. celestia shrugs and says do nothing, live your life, be happy. the people that matter won't mind, and the people who mind don't matter. while it did take twi some time to stop trying to please everyone, she did eventually learn, that celestia, as usual, was completely right.
and so, twilight is a happy unwed polyamorous baby mama dating a noodley chaos engine and a clinically depressed beefcake~

Celestia threw her front hooves wide in a dramatic shrug. There was a loud gasp and a camera flash, the pair turning to see well timed press reporter scurrying back the way they came, Celestia waved after them with a friendly grin. Before Twilight could start up again Celestia stepped in. "Twilight, no one who matters gives a shit and anyone who does can't do anything. Trust me, I know. Now you get out there and go doodle that noodle and bony that pony, I gotta get back to work." Celestia gave Twilight a reassuring pat on the back, leaving the speechless Alicorn alone in the hallway. Celestia closed the door into the service hallway behind her, smirking to herself, only to be turned and confronted with Princess Celestia, the two sharing a chaste kiss. "Thank you for covering for me, Chrysy. Anything interesting happen while I was gone?" "Nah, nothing major. Just some advice and a few minor disputes, I took care of it." Celestia vanished in a flash of green fire, Chrysalis stretching her neck outward. "Then what's that smirk for?" Celestia jabbed playfully. "What, I can't have fun?" Chrysalis smirked, images of tomorrow's headline flashing through her mind, well, assuming that reporter could outrun her guardlings. Curse my need to take comments and run with them.
