I just figured their big bug parasite shtick could translate into vampy-looking human designs. :> I prefer Equestria as a world of high fantasy, but I also find it funny whenever the show introduces a random modern thing, like movie theaters. So my Equestria is a pre-industrial fantasy world, except sometimes a character will have a smartphone or something and it'll go unexplained

Thanks! :) And nope. Ocellus was created the same way all Chrysalis' changelings were, via parthenogenesis. Chrysalis mainly reproduces asexually, and the more love she's exposed to, the brighter and healthier her grubs are. Ocellus is an Era 2 changeling, created after Chrysalis had been living in Canterlot for a while and steadily absorbing Celestia's friendship/growing affection. Iridescence is the first true pony-changeling hybrid and Celestia's only biological daughter. This doesn't mean Celestia doesn't consider Ocellus to be a daughter (or like a daughter, she doesn't wanna intrude on whatever Pharynx is doing). In fact, Celestia considers ALL of Chrysalis' many "children" to be her own (step)kids. She makes an effort to know their names and hobbies and has even named some of the younger grubs. Most changelings don't know what to do with Momlestia, the concept of "mother", or even "family" in general, is foreign to them. Chrysalis is their QUEEN, and they are her subjects. Chrysalis cares for them all, but doesn't dote on them- most changelings are actually raised by an older hivemate. So they don't know what to make of Celestia wanting to take photos with them for her scrapbooks or offering to cook them pancakes....but some changelings pretty taken with having a "mom". Ocellus (and Thorax) loves receiving Celestia's attention, affection, and tutalege. Pharynx just freaks out whenever Celestia gets a little too "mom" with him, like licking her thumb and trying to wipe a bit of dirt off his face, the fuck

I really dig the vampire look changelings seem to have in your humanized versions of them! Was that a conscious decision or a happy coincidence? Also, because I like to pry, what's the world of equestria like in your version? Like, modern day fantasy?

I noticed that Thorax looks very much like Chrysalis, but Pharynx does not) What do you think, if Thorax is a simple changeling, then all "black" changelings look like him. Or are they different in appearance? And by the way, your style of drawing people is amazing! I'll be happy if you draw more people)

Also I LOVE how you've kept their pre-reform designs into their "human" forms. Thorax in particular is just UNF. He rocks that androgynous look SO GOOD. Punk and goth sibs YES I can't help but headcanon that he miiight have a drag queen persona though, one very flashy and colorful and just a tad gaudy but damn if he can't work it, and it helps get him out of his shell every so often (post-reform show Thorax design)

ANDROGYNOUS THORAX GNC THORAX HE/THEM THORAX !!!!! I find it incredibly funny that between the two brothers, the soft-hearted, probably-faints-at-blood, love-and-squick Thorax raises morally grey assassin-spy-murder creature Smoky, and I'll-break-your-neck-if-you-breathe-on-me, scratch-my-bike-and-you're-dead Pharynx raises uwu babey goodie two-shoes Ocellus. I imagine that even with the obvious dragon-changeling resemblance and new-era changeling designs of Smoky and Occie respectively, there are a few switched-at-birth jokes considering how they turned out when considering their respective fathers

Aww, this is adorable! I especially love how you put Ocellus in a snuggie based on her changeling design. it suits her well. Just one note, though: you identify the trio as 'Pharynx, Ocellus and Babie Ocellus'. Did you mean to identify the **individual sitting next to Pharynx as Ocellus, too? **edited from 'lady'
