I imagined today some wacky sitcom-type plot where Zipperflash, attempting to get at his rival Aerostorm, decides to ask out Stormy's sister, Cloudburst. Cloudburst, waking up from a nap, naturally agrees, cuz ho shit, this is gonna be hilarious.

Cue Zipperflash flaunting his new tiny "gf" and rubbing her (maybe literally) in Stormy's face. Stormy tho has been desensitized to this sort of bullshit through Phoenix, and politely says the two make a cute couple, because he knows it'll rankle Zips like nothing else.

(Stormy and Cloudy sneak a high five while Zips is cussing)

So Zips decides to crank it up a notch and be extra obnoxious with the fake dates and the fawning and the long strolls at sunset. Except Cloudy is kinda terrible at romance, she spends some 70% of her time sleeping and needs to be lugged around, she snickers at his attempts at romance, and her own flirting, when it's genuine, gives Zips the panic floofs. And deep down, though she'd never voice it, she knows this is all one big elaborate joke. Nobody would really be interested in her otherwise, not seriously...

Still, for Zips, spending time with someone outside of racing and rivalry is kinda nice. Over time, their conversations become more meaningful, and they come to genuinely enjoy being around each other. By which I mean Zipperflash is starting to wonder how much of this "couple stuff" is fake.....

Here Cloudy has convinced Zips, neurotic anxiety-filled hummingbird that he his, to try chilling the fuck out and meditating. Really tho it was a clever ploy so she could score a comfy place to nap
