This is like 1/2 retcon, 1/2 me depicting Bruce as he was always meant to be depicted, which means an end to self-indulgent shipping. Bruce is gay, was always meant to be a repressed gay guy. He just assumed he was straight in his youth, and dated ladies out of obligation. Even later on, as he starts crushing on Stormy, he thinks he just really, REALLY likes his best friend, and wants to hold his hand and gaze into his eyes and brush his hair out of his face because that's just what best friends do, clearly. No homo. I think with Magnolia's assistance, he'd go through baby steps, "Okay, maybe I'm bicurious. Is that the right word? Okay, No, maybe.....just bi. Just a little, though. Okay, maybe a lot. Maybe I like men a bit more? It's normal to have a preference, right? Maybe I like men the most.....Oh hell, I'm gay. Stormy just kissed me and I realized I have never, and will never, feel this level of attraction toward mares. I'm gay.....it feels good to say it out loud."
