I'll give more info later (it's stupid late rn). For now, know that Trixie (and by proxy, Moondancer) is a direct descendant of Starswirl the Bearded(who in my version, turns out to be a kooky old lady: https://www.deviantart.com/lopoddity/art/Some-Kooky-Old-Lady-681846650 ). Blueblood is a direct descendant of Princess Platinum, the original heir to the ancient kingdom of Unicornia. It is through her that Blueblood maintains his royal status, land, and wealth, despite holding no real executive authority. While often casually referred to as a prince, Blueblood's official title is Grand Duke of Canterlot. He is a talented diplomat, and besides Shining Armor (a King Consort), he is the highest ranking civilian royal.

As much as Vogue wishes otherwise, she wears her heart on her sleeves (especially when she was an emotional young teenager), aaand....did not handle this dark family secret very well at first. She’s understandably hurt and confused and feels betrayed that her parents lied to her about something this big. And, even if it happened so many years ago and Fancy firmly insists that it’s long since forgiven, she can’t help but be mad at her mom for cheating on her dad. It takes some time and talking it out as a family, but eventually Vogue comes to forgive her parents and shares a tearful hug with them both
