Sunday Update 1/12

It is yet again Sunday. The 2nd one of the year. We hope that, wherever you are, you are enjoying life and soaking in everything it has to offer you.

As we’re sure most people have seen, this last week has been a devastating one for many people in Los Angeles. As a place that both of us have once called home, we have seen many friends, acquaintances, and others within the community that have lost everything in these fires. It has been very heartbreaking to see. To help out, we have decided to donate 100% of the proceeds from nevermind. merchandise orders this entire week to some organizations that have been and continue to provide relief to those in need, as well as directly to families and individuals via gofundme. Essentially you will receive a free hat or tee in exchange for making a donation to folks that need it right now. On to some brighter news that is a bit more fun, this week we had the opportunity to see not just one movie, no no no…. TWO movies. We started the week off with Babygirl. Our honest review: it was hot. But was it hot enough? As hot as they made it seem in the trailer. Not quite. If you haven’t seen it yet, not sure if it’s still in theaters, we do recommend it. It’s a fun time and Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson are stars that deserve your eyes.

The other movie we saw was The Brutalist. 3 hours and 35 minutes of some real good cinema. They said it was a masterpiece and they weren’t wrong. The movie sucks you in and keeps you in the whole time and that’s no exaggeration. Adrien Brody is an absolute beast. Felicity Jones is an absolute beast. Guy Pearce is an absolute beast. Beast movie unlocked. When the Oscars roll around it will receive the “Most Beast Movie” award.

We got an AMC Stubs pass so we’re just really trying to utilize that hehe.
