While I'm working on my next update, let's talk about FOM sequel.
Fountain of Mana will take place years after FOM1.
The protagonist will be Ravy's daughter. Depending on the decision of the players in FOM 1 will have certain quirks. I haven't planned them all exactly yet, but I can say that her father will be someone the player chooses in FOM1. Other minor decisions will carry over to FOM2 too.
I wonder what you would like her to look like. What about personality? Do you have any request?
Most characters still will be in the game but they'll be older of course.
I'll not be using RPG Maker anymore. I don't know what I'll use but it'll be different. Gameplay will change drastically. There won't be any traditional combat. But I don't want to create a visual novel so you can expect something different instead of combat.
The game will be able to import saves from FOM1 or if you lose saves, you will have to answer some questions and the game will generate backstory for you.
Currently, I devote 100% of my time to the development of FOM1. I want to finish it as fast as possible but there is no FOM2 release date yet so don't ask please. There will be a handful of normal updates to FOM1 soon.

Sounds awesome it will be more after this is finished. In my opinion she should be like her mother in terms of looks, redhead, slim and fit and with rather small breasts, maybe even smaller to go for a more tomboyish look could also be fun. Personality I think it would alter who is the father really so it should carry over form FOM1, but I do still feel she should be as innocent as RAvy was in the beginning of FOM1 since I feel the whole corruption concept is the winning factor here. Mr, B best route, he should defiantly be a major factor in corruption her again, even if he is the father, having him send her out on little missions like with Ravy without her mother knowing about it could be super fun.

I think personality wise should depend on the father for example if Mr.B then she can be more exblisionist, if the Mayor then she can be more submissive, if Adilos then more cocky, and Thomlin then more pathetic etc.

But I think she should depend on the father for appearance and class just an example if it's Tom or Aldis she's a knight, with either boy from forest or paralyzed boy should earn mage, mayor or nightwood rogue/archer. However without combat you will be heavily limited to a story based route system with options
2020-11-04 00:50:23 +0000 UTCHuh, this is actually pretty interesting, i guess Ravy's daughter could be more of a tomboy with a knight personality, with pretty much the samey proportions that Ravy currently have (with slightly bigger breasts), and i think it would be neat if she had either male or female romance options, maybe even an option to have "no romance but never alone".

As for looks options are cool but can defently be more time consuming for new scenes. As for personality I'm a fan of the innocent corrupted thing, t-rep best arc, but really depends I guess on how the open her parents are after becoming parents. Could also be interesting to have her be the one corrupting people. Always glad to see updates. Thanks for the work.
2020-09-05 04:03:46 +0000 UTCWell I personally don't see FOM is finished very soon. Even with a handfull of updates, you planed much more as mentioned in older posts. I realy hope you will not be sick of RPG Maker so soon to not probably finish the game.
