New Goal
Added 2016-12-06 16:23:26 +0000 UTCHi!
Last time I asked what do you think about repeating events. Everyone but one person liked them so I think we'll see more events like this in the future. I'll pay special attention to make sure the text changes a bit every time and Ravy acknowledge fact that she already did that event.
Today I want to ask you about Thomlin and Aldis. Should they be more proactive in approaching Ravy? For now they only stand there and wait for player to interact with them. But what if they approach her instead? At least from time to time? I don't want to sacrifice player freedom but maybe adding option to decline their invitation will suffice? For example we can look on Aldis second quest (Abandoned Tower). Aldis instead of waiting for Ravy to approach him, he waits in front of Ravy's room door. When she gets out he asked her out. Then player can decline or go with him. This is rather minor thing but it might impact gamefeel a lot.
And finally let's talk about new goal. If we met it I'll make in game event gallery where player can view previously seen h-events. I'll add option to set certain variables like Ravy's corruption, clothes and so on. This goal is set high and I don't think we'll met it soon (I hope). Why is that? Because this is going to be really, rally time consuming and annoying to do due to a way I programmed events in game. I'm planning to add another goal in between soon but more about that next time.
Thank you for your votes last time and have a good day.

2016-12-14 13:52:39 +0000 UTCSo looking at your post history about the face of Ravy, are you redrawing all of the current scene's that you made so far? Also what are you plans on the next update [repeatable events, public places? etc.]

2016-12-13 20:36:08 +0000 UTCYeah, I was thinking about something like that but your ideas are interesting.
2016-12-07 16:27:11 +0000 UTCNo, Ravy's bed scenes are something different. They are there to flesh out Ravy's feeling more. Gallery will be only for reviewing stuff.
2016-12-07 16:23:29 +0000 UTCI think either way would be OK (referring to the poll). My biggest issue with having choices forced on the player is opportunities to save your game. For example, if you see a character waiting to talk to you vs you walk out a door and are ambushed into making a decision and wondering (when was the last time I saved?) As for the 'repeating events', I found the dish washing quest on my second play though... that was just evil.

2016-12-06 23:48:07 +0000 UTCAfter hesitating for a long while, I voted for the second option, even though I love the idea of (some) NPCs (sometimes) acting instead of always just reacting. I guess my idea of enjoyable "NPC actions" sums up to one word : surprise. It's the unexpected part of the thing which makes the charm of it (to me), and it's kind of a true challenge to get right given the technical complexity of a RPG. To elaborate some more, if an NPC or why not a handful of them (if the proper conditions are met ?) suddenly hang out next to Ravy's room everytime she wakes up in the morning (because of that new feature), there is not much of a surprise or enjoyable "NPC action" left to me. It becomes a routine, a bore, and wouldn't add much more than hassle. What I would love to see instead is Ela waking up Ravy in the middle of the night because she is scared from a noise in the guest room (scene!), or Thom getting hurt (right where you're thinking) during his combat mockup training and calling up to Ravy walking nearby for some "doctoring" (scene!), or Aldin stopping Ravy at the gates to "rough" her up a bit under the false pretense of him being ordered by his superiors to conduct a security check of people entering the castle (scene!), etc. These events would only happen once, and should probably be unskippable (but could be dodged : Ravy not caring about Ela, laughing at Thom instead, screaming at Aldin, etc.). Just a couple of examples, and if that's what you meant by NPCs "acting" on their own initiative, then please forgive me for being too cautious or dense, ignore my vote and please please do it ^.^
2016-12-06 20:50:03 +0000 UTCI like that idea a lot and I think it could really improve gameplay. For the event gallery, what if you tie that it with Ravy in bed at night? She is already thinking of past events anyway. That could be interesting.

2016-12-06 19:48:12 +0000 UTCYour job is excellent!I hope you will complete the work tasks.Of course, I fully respect your plan..I want to have a complete story, a variety of plot, free choice, this will be a perfect game!

2016-12-06 16:54:58 +0000 UTCAre you talking about Poll? Well, making them appear in Ravy's room is not more comlicated as giving them new line where they stand so no. If you are talking about gallery, well... It is time consuming but not complicated. And it's not going to happen anytime soon so...
2016-12-06 16:42:08 +0000 UTCare you sure adding so many things will not extremely complicate thing in the future?
