I didn’t get the chance to finish any new artwork yesterday but I wasn’t slacking I prepped boards with gesso and made four sketchbooks. Which take longer than they look .-.
i think from here on out I’ll just buy board pre-gesso’d. It’s only a dollar-a few dollars more and to gesso oneself takes at least ten coats with drying and sanding between. Definitely cheaper time wise to go pre gesso’d.
As as long as it takes to make a sketchbook (and I probably can’t sell them for what they’re worth) I kind of like that it takes effort and concentration but doesn’t suck my creativity dry. I can do it when I’m all arted out.
I also did did most of a commission for a friend which I will upload when I’m done with it.
