I’m FAIR at composition but I’m not great so I got a lot of books on the subject. If any of you are interested I can do a little review of each as I read them. So far “The Painter’s Secret Geometry” is fairly obtuse and is more interesting in a historical sense than useful to a modern artist. “The Simple Secret to Better Painting“ is highly readable and easy to follow. I def recommend it. I really like ”The Botanical Art Files: Composition” but it’s pretty specific. If you don’t care for botanical illustration a general composition book will serve you better.
The others I haven’t yet formed an opinion on. I’m working on really taking them to heart rather than taking a glance and tossing them on my bookshelf. :P
