Finally?? Finished??? Maybe????

I've been fighting with this illustration for the better part of a month so I'm just calling it DONE NOW!! I think it's probably pretty good, but I am still very insecure when it comes to digital coloring (somehow, after making an entire 90 page fully-colored comic) so it's just very hard for me to feel satisfied with the final product!! I was also trying a bit of painting, which I'm VERY inexperienced with, so it was A STRUGGLE.

I think it just goes to show how comfortable I am with black and white and grayscale vs color, because I keep looking at the grayscale rough-out thinking THIS IS BETTER!! AAA!!!

IN ANY CASE, I'm just feeling a little feisty, and will probably feel better about this image after I've spent some time away from it lol. What I should REALLY be doing is practicing speedpaints and background painting, but who has the time!!

THE GOOD NEWS THOUGH: this was like the last big thing I needed to finish before I can actually put the RR Chapter 1 book together!! HOORAY! I'll have more info on that in the next few weeks! FINALLY FINISHED AAA!!!
