Fanart Friday: Lion Guard in ballpoint
Added 2016-01-29 16:04:27 +0000 UTCI like animation. I watch most animated things, no matter how terrible they may be. The Lion Guard is weird, because some of the animation and story and character elements are great and some of them are just amazingly awful. The character designs range from cute to amazingly ugly. The walk cycles are beginning-animation-school awful but other animation passages are done very well. I've never seen a cartoon with such a wide variety of skill.
Anyway, here are some sketches of mostly the good hyena character (ironically named Jasiri :P ) drawn more like an animal than she actually is.

Yeah, it's really weird. I suspect the reason is that Disney is marketing it as a 'boy's show' so it has a lot of gender-enforcing stereotypes like the stupid lioness who cries because her nail broke (Like seriously, I have never ever seen a woman care about a broken nail).

She was a great character =^_^= And I agree on all points =P For some reason the one I have most problem with is Kiara. She looks just... wrong... And they too everything she is and made it in to Kion, and made her everything she was not... errr. fail? ^^;
