Changes to Billing Period

Hello everyone, thank you for all your support it means so much to me!
I posted before that I was thinking of changing to the pre-pay option that Patreon offers. After some research I was able to get more information about how this works and have decided to move forward with it.
So then, what does this mean for you?
Really nothing if you are already pledged you will still be charged on the 1st of next month like you would have been anyways. The only difference is it will list the “supported period” as the current month instead of the previous month, you will not be double charged.
However, if you are making a new pledge you will be charged for the current month up front instead of on the first of the next month and then the renewal will happen on the first of the next month like normal. This can mean if you are pledging near the end of a month you will see two charges close together.
One other difference is when you cancel.
Before if you canceled you would lose access to patron only content immediately since you had not been charged for the current month yet and you would not be charged on the first of the next month
Now when you cancel since you would have already paid for the current month you will retain access to patron only content for the remainder of the current period.
