Honestly, I love the Garlic Jr Saga, for a number of pros. One: Goku and Vegeta are nowhere to be seen- Goku is MIA and training in secret, and Vegeta is searching for him and destroying Frieza's outposts at the same time- great side quest BTW. Maron is introduced and Krillin is dating her, making for a big win for Krillin- if only for a brief period. When Garlic Jr shows up, he not only establishes himself as a completely different villain to EVERYONE that has come before him aside from being one from Goku, Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo's direct past, but he also takes the planet hostage, and also uses magic to capture Kami and Mr Popo, as well as transform ALL of Earth's population into rabid vampire slaves, which is awesome (and also a far more original and enjoyable plot than anything Super has done outside of the weird Granola Arc, due to the stakes of the situation).

😒 I can’t say I hated the garlic Junior saga, I more or less had mixed feelings about it, on one hand, we were introduced to the bodacious Maron 😏😏😏….. while on the other, they pull in a random villain that you have no idea where they originated from unless you’ve seen the dead zone movie, which is exactly how it was introduced to me. (I loved TFS’s rendition of it better🤭🤭🤭 “😳 Where’d you get that apple!?”)
