A What-If I would've loved to have seen in action in DB, but we never got. The perfect blend of GT and Super in a nice, Golden package.
Anyhow, this is the first time Gohan reveals his and Fasha's newly acquired Alpha form to his friends and family, AND puts it into action against a worthy adversary. Not only is his durability increased to a ridiculously high level, but his speed, power and ALL his base attributes are raised to end-game stats.
I'd like to reiterate, this is not Super Saiyan 4, but my own version of what it could potentially be in the canon of the Dragonball timeline. An incredibly hard form to attain, the Alpha form is what happens when a Saiyan fully masters their Oozaru transformation by mastering the Blutz Waves themselves. By channelling copious amounts of it through their body, the Saiyan essentially rewrites and improves their DNA, allowing them to tap into the Saiyan's full potential in a new base form. The Alpha form is an elevated, perfect base form of the Saiyans, and not a Super Saiyan transformation. It's an evolution- not a transformation.
I also tacked on the Alpha form to show you what it looks like in colour. Silver/platinum fur mirroring the Silver Back Gorillas of our world, moulded to the Saiyan body in the SS4 design.
Beerus receives a taste of this first hand. In this form, Gohan's power is comparable to Wrath Form Broly, only more controlled and concentrated.
Hope this generates some excitement for Gohan and Beeru's eventualy encounter in my version of the DBS arc when Golden Age gets to that point.

It's different from the conventional transformation, but similar to the visions Goku had when he was first transforming into SSJ3 against Buu, where he imagines an Oozaru turning back into a Saiyan then a child, and then curling into a ball- symbolizing the depths to which he is tapping into to push himself to SSJ3.

At first I was worried you might scrap this plan along with Gohan’s nova form in favor of his new Beast form from the DBS canon. I thought Beast would grow on me overtime, but it just hasn’t, same for Piccolo’s orange form. Much prefer this, especially since it it makes more sense to be an evolution rather than a lazy repaint transformation.
