Draft Post

Hey everyone!

Last night I posted a draft of a thank you note I was working on, about the Travel Videos and an upcoming Call of Juarez retrospective-- it wasn't all the way there and didn't 100% follow what I was trying to convey, because I was planning on hammering out a second draft later--

I'm sorry if it caused any confusion, it was a half-formed thought I hadn't meant to post yet.

But hey: Call of Juarez retrospective next week.

I could tell you are a writer by the giant paragraph;) Love it, keep telling the truth, whatever it means to you, thanks.

Long time watcher, finally a patron! In a sea of samey video essay creator's I really feel like your work absolutely stands out. whether I'm giving it my full attention or running a video through my sound system so it fills my whole apartment while doing some cleaning around the house, I always enjoy your perspective and the format of your delivery. I'm a writer as well (well I'm trying), fiction mostly, and seeing your content find a solid audience and grow is very inspiring. Keep on doing your thing you marvelous video game scholar! PS. Possible topics: Xcom retrospective/remake comparison, Elder Scrolls retrospective (an undertaking I know, but I'm mostly just interested in the changes and evolution of the series, as a hardcore fan of Morrowind). The Metro games (possibly in time for the release of Exodus?) An Oddworld Retrospective would make me giddy as a school girl, and of course if you ever did a video on my favorite game of all time Star Wars: KOTOR, I'd be happy as a clam. A giddy, school girl clam: that's me. Farewell for now, best of luck to ya!

I enjoy your work, especially your Dishonored video. I do hope you revisit the series for the release of Death of the Outsider.

Hey Noah, I've noticed you've put videos out these last two months but not made them patreon updates. Feels like you're leaving money on the table. Everything okay?

John Wells

How are you, Noah? Hope you were able to have some time and some peace during the holiday season. Looking forward for what is to come in 2018. Kindest regards, Jason

Hello, Noah. I know the video output has not been too big, but my (not too big either) donation is intended as retroactive payment for some videos I have already watched years ago. I download youtube vids like yours in MP3 format for listening, so patreon is my way of giving back to the creators, and boy did I feel I was owing you. If you want to obtain more views or patreons, why dont you do polls asking what content do your fans want to watch? Put 3 or 4 games you LIKE (this part is important) and would be eager to do a retrospective on, and see which wins. Also, this is not a suggestion or a request, I am just curious. Are you planning a Diablo / Red Alert / Halo retrospective? Best wishes to you, and thanks for all the entertainment.

just leaving here to say that i held your travelogues in very high regard, you really should publish then as books

Thanks for clearing that up, Noah! The draft post was a good reminder to finish watching that final travelogue, which I'm really enjoying. Looking forward to seeing your take on Juarez too. Your post makes me think of the new Westworld show, which touches on some of those themes too - the mythos vs. the reality.

Thanks for clearing it up. :-) Your take on the Juarez series would be an awesome treat, given your travels. I am looking forward to it.

It was quite mysterious! I hadn't watched the video yet, so the apparent connection between your travels and the Call of Juarez series made me wonder what the hell went down in the past few months.
