Hearing him say that line really hits me so deep in my soul, man, in a way I've never felt before. Freedom is a pure idea....

lmaoo I love the "hell ye" at the end, I love that ending so much with the parallels and the music. CINEMA

I never blamed the Kenari kids for failing to intervene before their leader was killed....mainly because the indigenous tribe is so primitive they probably had no idea what a blaster was and what the intent of the Imperial guy would be.....as the audience we know more than the kids....we know that those on that ship are up to no good because they never are...plus we see no adults around and that the kids are wearing like repurposed clothing, are using blow darts, and Cassian doesn't really seem to know technology and doesn't even know Basic (English) annnnd he hasn't really seen a clear image of his reflection before....so to me, this shows the innocent nature and the completely unprepared nature of this planet/ tribe of the Empire bearing down on them....like with America....the Indigenous people were not ready or comprehending of the British colonizers...it is very reflective of this. I also think Maarva's reasoning for taking Cassian was pretty straightforward....she knows how awful the Republic/Empire are....she knows that they were landing in mere minutes and when they saw that one of their officers was killed by the kids with blow darts, she said it would be "open season" on those kids...meaning that the Republic would go in and kill every person they found, meaning Cassian would likely have been killed....so she took the only opportunity she had to save his child's life....although, kidnapping a child from his home planet against his will while sedating him does not seem to be the best thing to do, but it doesn't seem like Cassian harbors any ill will towards her for this....plus she only had moments to make the decision...she didn't have time to explain it to Cassian, especially since he was a child who didn't understand their language. Fun fact...the actor that played a young Cassian "Kassa" has said that it was Diego Luna - Cassian - who hand picked him to play the younger version of him...he also spent a lot of time with the actor, helping him learn English and was a mentor to him on set...since Diego was also an EP on the show he was pretty much the go-to person on set every day to be the liaison between the studio/writers/directors and the actors.

I remember you not liking the "washed out" or under-contrast look of Andor and cited that it must be because of the special effects/cgi used in it. Actually, the look of Andor is contrasty/punchy (especially the Ferrix scenes). If it seems "washed out" to you is because you're likely watching this on a non-HDR capable monitor. Or (in the event you're watching this on a Mac), don't have the HDR feature turned on in the settings: SETTINGS > DISPLAYS > HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE. Andor displays in Dolby Vision for streaming streaming, while the 4K UHD disc set is presented in HDR10. If you ARE watching it on an HDR capable monitor, you'll need to change the monitor's inputs to HDR. The Dolby Vision on Disney+ is noticeably less contrasty than the HDR10 discs. The reds, oranges, and golds are REALLY RICH in HDR10 while on Ferrix. It makes Ferrix seem even more earthy and gritty. I highly recommend the purchasing of the Blu Ray/4k Blu Ray of this series if you have either a HDR-compatible monitor or TV. THE COLORS......WOW!!!

You couldn't have chosen a more appropriate time to watch this show. The parallels are insane

"The sound of that voice telling you to stop, to go, to move. Telling you to die. Rings in the ear, doesn't it?" watching this series with whats going on in america right now is pretty crazy ngl

Just stopped by to say, GO SEAHAWKS!!! Also, GO BRONCOS!!! We'd be more than happy to kick their ass in the Super Bowl again. 🏈

Andor is made by people with a vision. Unlike the recent movies, that were simply made by a corporation out to make a quick buck. The first trilogy was a huge part of my childhood in the 80’s, and Andor has revived my love for the Star Wars verse.
