ANDOR Early Access/Uncut EP 1 & 2

Ayo ayooo, no schedule to these but wanted to catch up on more of this on the Patreon because why not? This belongs to the Pilot shows that I'm watching and after a few of you guys mentioned this, I decided to watch the first two episodes and see what all the fuss was about. Enjoy the random uploads, feel like it keeps things interesting!

ANDOR Early Access/Uncut EP 1 & 2

Comments

As a heads up… the story arc’s of Andor are broken up into little 3-episode mini-movies. So watching three at a time (with the exception of s1e7) will alleviate some of the feeling of “oh is that it?”

James... I gotta be honest with you. I think I've ducked all of your content since you wrapped the The Wire. I tried to watch The Sopranos with you (with my wife!) but we ducked out. Not a fan of that show after a 1.5 seasons. BUT THIS? I'm riding. I also want to watch Peaky Blinders so I'm going to catch up.

This series is not just for Star Wars fans, its for those who are fans of excellent writing, pacing, composition, cinematography, sound stage, and character development. As the series moves along and the dialog becomes more intense, the director starts breaking the rule of thirds on purpose and when he does, he REALLY starts to draw you in; allowing the viewer to better absorb what is being said. Andor is a series made by a team of storytellers and treats this project like no other Star Wars project since The Empire Strikes Back.

Unbelievable writing some of the best in TV let alone Star Wars

Love your reactions. I've only hit pay on a patreon subscription once before and that was to watch your The Wire reactions. When I saw you were doing Andor I could not get my credit card out quick enough. The combination of filmmaking and human insights works really well. I think you might need to rewatch Rogue One if you're not sure who "Andor" is.

Really happy Dan Gilroy and Andor won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing. Well deserved and easily the best thing Disney Star Wars has produced. What I really enjoyed about this series is the characters and their interactions matter. They aren't thrown by the wayside like it seems with other recent Star Wars projects. Also, this is the first time in Star Wars history where they seemed to fully embrace science fiction. Andor felt like "hard science fiction" opposed to the space fantasy we're used to with the franchise.

Chaos T

Andor is the best Star Wars since the original trilogy. It’s SW for adults.

the show (or this season) takes place in BBY5 which means 5 years before the battle of yavin, which is the battle in star wars 1977 against the first death star:)
