I appreciate the points you brought up at the end (and throughout the whole movie) concerning war and people’s tendency to pick sides. I don’t wanna get too deep into this but seeing this film again I can’t help but be reminded of what’s happening in Gaza right now, and how so many people can’t seem to accept the idea that more than one thing can be wrong at the same time.

Both are great films, one about a political assassination and the meticulous investigation after. The other is about a police inspector who commits murder just to see if he can get away with it in his position

2026-01-14 22:48:47 +0000 UTCI remember having to watch this in film school. Felt so raw then I found out most of the actors were people who lived through the actual battle. The documentary style certainly helps as well as shooting in Algiers.
