Glover did say it was "Twin Peaks for rappers"

I know. It reminds me of in his reaction to Better Call Saul when he said, "I'm so glad we're getting to spend more time with Howard." Ten minutes later... "Oh, no, that's Lalo!"

"I hope nothing bad happens to you. You've been a great character, to be honest with you." - James one episode before the most terrifying scene I've ever seen

Bro please consider reacting to “Atlanta” a series created by Donald Glover (Troy from Community aka Childish Gambino). The series is actually brilliant and hilarious

Can't imagine how mindF'd someone would have been watching this on ABC in 1990... lmao

One of the most disturbing parts of Maddy’s death to me is that since she and Laura are played by the same actress, it’s like Laura died twice.

William Davis

I think Maddy’s slowed down screaming really adds to that, very upsetting

Very few reactors are watching Twin Peaks right now but the ones that have been I look for that exact reaction to that moment. It's like everyone who knows spiritually felt that they lost yet another person so gruesomely, I'll never forget what I felt the first time watching the end of Lonely Souls

That scene at the end of 7 is to me the most terrifying TV scene of all time: not only because of the 14 episode build up but just the choices, the sound design, it's just deeply uncomfortable on a psychological level I can't explain

The Misanthrope

I don't think James has grasped how much garmonbozia is on that Sunday.

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

If you loved "Lonely Souls", you're going to love Fire Walk with Me. This episode is a scoop of David Lynch ice cream, and FWWM is a whole sundae.

to me the scene at the end of episode 7 where everyone in the roadhouse get suddenly overwhelmed with emotion is them unconsciously sensing that another act of evil just happened

The Log Lady is a great example of what makes this show amazing. When she was first introduced, we all laughed. It was a joke. A crazy old lady who talks to a log. At this point in the series, you see that log move in to frame, you know you're about to hear some important, if cryptic, truths spoken. And that seems perfectly normal somehow. Mark Frost likened her to one of the oracles of ancient Greece. This isn't a spoiler, but regarding the Log Lady, make sure you have a box of tissues on hand when you watch The Return. The actress who played her, Catherine Coulson, was dying of cancer and opted to appear in the show anyway, albeit in a limited capacity. There's a scene between her and Hawk that makes me tear up just thinking about it. You will cry for a woman you never met.
