The Sopranos Season 4 EP 3 & 4 Early Uncut Access

Season 4 of The Sopranos has finally arrived. How can things become more twisted. From the inside and out I'm ready to see how this family combats the elements around them. This man Tony Sopranos is a mammoth.

If Johnny Sack really was comfortable with his wife's weight, he wouldn't be kicking the shit out of people on suspicion.

I live in Oklahoma and it's complicated. We're taught the history, we encounter the reality, but I have also seen cars with Cherokee Nation plates filled with the whitest people you ever did see. It's messy. I think this episode actually does a good job at looking at the mess. Here's what I do know, and this episode also points out - drawing clear lines is just stupid. Things are messy.

I think James has a bigger crush on Furio than Carmela does 😂

Tony Lip (carmine's actor) is such a badass. he worked as a supervisor of the Copacabana back in 1961 and was the body guard for the pianist Don Shirley (the movie greenbook is based on this, he's played by Viggo Mortensen)

I love that the Sopranos went out of its way to make a scene where Peter Bogdanovich is an asshole to a stranger and then he describes it like it was a close encounter with unprovoked violence violence. They really capture how unpleasant of a person he is in real life.

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

I really like the sub plot with Carmella's cousin. Looking forward to that this season.

One of my favorite moments in the series is when Janice's therapist tells her talk to Ralphie with the compassion and respect she's famous for and then two scenes later she's shouting at him and shoving him down the stairs.

Since you're watching Twin Peaks as well, I just wanted to mention that the scene where Silvio and Christopher meet with the old school Rhode Island hitmen felt very Twin Peaks/David Lynch to me. I think there's a lot of David Lynch influence throughout The Sopranos, particularly the dream sequences, but this hitman scene in episode 4 felt like yea let's see what it would be like if David Lynch wrote a scene.

Raul Panzar

Written by Michael, not directed. Michael wrote several episodes throughout the show's run.

When Furio says he’s gonna make his own wine, thats the only time I think ive heard the actors accent crack just a little. Everytime I hear Federico Casteluccios real accent it throws me off. I thought the italian accent was his real one.

"Christopher" is often described as one of the worst episodes of the series, but I think it's hilarious. The Sopranos was always largely a comedy, and that episode really leans into it. I mean, Janice pushing Ralphie down the stairs alone makes it a gem. It was directed by Michael Imperioli, who actually plays Christopher in the show.
