The Wire Season 4 EP 5 & 6 Early Uncut Access

Season 4 is finally here! The Wire has been sitting at the throne for some of my favorite experiences in television and I can't wait to dive deeper into its story and characters. A difficult landscape with puddles having the depths of oceans.

God, I miss Reg E. Cathey. 😥

Interesting I didn't know that one.

Donnie Andrews was the guy helping Omar in jail. Omar is loosely based on him, he was a real life stickup gangster in Baltimore.

I had to watch ahead and all I got to say is y'all ain't ready for the season finale, I know I wasn't. 😑

"We're seeing adults and we're seeing children. They're the same people, man. The children turn into these adults." You hit the nail on the head. That might as well be a title card quote to the rest of the show.

The opening scene of Episode 5 was such a great way to showcase how these are still kids despite the loss of some of their innocence due to their surroundings. They can identify gun types by sound and ignore sirens, but still believe in zombies. And while Marlo, Chris, and Snoop aren't literal "zombie masters," the kids' conversation is finally ended when they encounter one of the metaphorical zombies that the Baltimore drug trade has created.

The actress playing Namond's mom surprised a lot of the rest of the cast, they describe her as the nicest person around and couldn't imagine her being unpleasant until the cameras started rolling. She says she based it on a real life woman she met, and how that woman treated her own daughter. Making the daughter wear a nosering that says "Bitch" on it to school, etc. Even when told something as innocuous as she should hug her daughter, that woman's response was "I ain't no lesbian!"

“Margin of Error” is such a great episode, and a real turning point for the rest of the series.
