2024-12-27 18:20:49 +0000 UTCI loved Curb when it first came out. I ended up just getting tired of it at some point. I think it was around season 8. I did the same thing with Itβs Always Sunny. I was obsessed with it for about 5 years and then got bored. π€·π»ββοΈ

Sometimes you need to have a drink at a separate place from the restaurant you're going to eat at. And sometimes you just need to cheat on your wife with the woman making her birthday present so she doesn't get offended. In The Shrimp Incident, the president of HBO and Larry had a prior beef from the Curb Your Enthusiasm HBO special, from before they turned the idea into a full series. Larry gave him a lame excuse to get out of doing a comedy special for the network at the last minute. So in the meeting in this episode he knows Larry made up a fake stepfather being sick and Larry knows he took his shrimp. Taking 8 whole shrimp is more insane than inventing a fake sick person so I'm with Larry on that one. The HBO special is worth checking out. It's like Episode 0 of the series.
