If this bothered you that much, are you even able to handle sunny? Linda seems childish for sure and refused to listen, but maybe the lesson is you and Linda should both go touch grass. If you had been like “hey heads up we try not to say..” and just explain rather than condescend yourself and name call, I’d have been on your side. Lesson to be learned in both wrongs: let’s unclutch our pearls a bit and relax, people are tired of being preached to, kindly educate instead AND let’s keep an open mind and try to listen to where somebody’s coming from. This argument sounded like some people from the Sunny gang😂

There's a ton of references throughout as well (including some that you probably haven't seen). Everyone's story line had a great ending. They tied all the chaos together perfectly at the end and punctuated it with the look of happiness on Mac's face.

The reason it is problematic is because it implies negative characteristics like savagery or primitivism. It reinforces colonial attitudes that view Indigenous communities as "other", and paints those people as reactive rather than as individuals. Even in that speech it implies that unrest among marginalized groups is inherently threatening and violent. Not to mention, it's rude and unnecessary. I'm not intimidated by someone who obviously can't age with the times.
