Just watched your video of The Zone of Interest. Great and insightful stuff as always. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. There are moments in that film that remind me of another from 2001. It was a made for TV film but that doesnt stop it being an exceptional piece. It is called Conspiracy and stars Kenneth Branagh and Stanley Tucci and is about the Wannsee meeting where the Nazis went about planning the 'Final Solution' based on the transcrit of the meeting recorded at the time. The round table shots in the film you just watched are very similar to the ones in Conspiracy which are as equally terrifying. The performaces as also very chilling. Please do check it out aways from the channel if you wish as just feel you would find it a facinating watch. As always, stay genuine and stay awesome... much love <3

2024-09-06 16:50:40 +0000 UTCIf you liked Moneyball James I'd recommend any of Bennett Miller's other historical films. He hasn't made many, but they're all really high quality films and he knows how to get exceptional performances out of his actors. Capote (2005) is the perfect showcase of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman's acting skills. The movie is based on Capote's experiences during the research and writing of In Cold Blood. A must watch.

2024-08-15 14:29:29 +0000 UTCI also recommend period pieces such as House of Usher (1960) and The Pit and the Pendulum (1961), two low budget Edgar Allan Poe adaptations staring Vincent Price and directed by the legendary (and recently deceased) Roger Corman.

2024-08-15 14:17:31 +0000 UTCRegardless of polls: please still consider Society of the Snow, Downfall, and (as is customary for me at this point) Devil's Backbone. Even just for your own edification and delight! Haha. Can't wait for these, though. The Von Erich Story is a doozy, for sure!

2024-08-15 14:10:25 +0000 UTCAnother film that is great for this would be The Count of Monte Cristo (2002). Not based on a true story, based on a novel set in the 1800βs in France. Awesome revenge thriller but the production and costume design and the location scouting are so phenomenal that you swear you have been transported to 1800βs literary France for 2 hours and 11 minutes.
