Definitely watch The Zone Of Interest with the clearest headphones you have

Michael Proch

Actually, All the President's Men and The Post are two completely different events.

Linda

We've looked at a few of Kurosawa's films: https://youtu.be/_Q0Agk4GMe4?feature=shared https://youtu.be/Ha5-jQSrHbo?feature=shared https://youtu.be/MUJUwato4TQ?feature=shared https://youtu.be/IQ-HAvq5FoA?feature=shared

Tetley

you MUST do a breakdown of INTERSTELLAR unless you havent seen it before...

C.j.

Iron Claw is ok but it hard to overlook all the inaccuracies.

Patrick Littlejohn

i was wondering if you have thought about watching the western remakes of seven samurai and yojimbo. Kurosawa was heavily influenced by westerns, and he in turn influenced the western genre pretty heavily himself. The magnificent seven, and a fistful of dollars were western remakes of both films. A fistful of dollars is definitely the better film of the two, both are great though. A fistful of dollars was clint Eastwood's first big film, and marked a major change in the tone77u of westerns over the next couple decades, really great, almost a shot for shot remake. It turned into a sort of trilogy, the man with no name trilogy, with for a few dollars more and the good the bad and the ugly. It was remade again in a new genre, 1930s gangster film starring Bruce willis and Christopher walken, Last man standing. Not the greatest film ever made, not bad, but still interesting.

Alex

I cannot in good faith not to mention the best option. Hamilton! Two versions for you, two paychecks. Not because of this, this is history. What else do you want?

Allison N Williams

Iron claw is great, I recommend it.

Ode

Who plays Frederick Douglass?

Kaitlin

My two choices are: 1. Army of Shadows 2. Zone of Interest Both are set in WW2 looking in very different directions.

Brett Coster

Steven Spielberg did a fantastic job handling the historical stuff in "Lincoln". It's one of the most historically accurate films.

Chaos T

I want to see this with Battle of Algiers!

Kaitlin

Son of Saul would be a good one to watch with Zone of Interest. Both sides of the wall so to speak and really cinematic.

Kaitlin

The Devils Backbone is a hidden gem. Please find some excuse to watch it... You won't be disappointed. It's such a masterful exploration of tension, metaphor and human behaviour.

Lisa Edwards

It's a shame The Devils Backbone is so low. It really doesn't get much better when it comes to atmosphere.

Rant Casey

EXACTLY!

Jon Bradley

Chariots of Fire is an underrated gem Munich also deals with the aftermath of the 1972 Olympics All The President's Men is a far outstanding film than The Post and they are basically about the same thing Lincoln is well worth it

Jon Bradley

Army of Shadows.

Nick Mandlamadi aka Ebony

Early days, but The Iron Claw looks likely. Ditto Zone of Interest. Both solid movies. But I'm voting for Chariots of Fire and All the President's Men.

Tetley

Zone of intrest, fingies crossed.

Brian H

What the heck people. It's the Olympics and you aren't voting for Chariots of Fire???

RICHARD

I'm here. Meaning I am asking you once again to watch Devil's Backbone. Lol Guillermo should pay me at this point.

Erika Martinez

Iron Claw wooo

Taylor Olsoy

I hope Iron Claw gets it. Was my favorite film from last year.

Cody Price

Army of Shadows representation! Let's goooo
