Brad Pitt was a producer of The OA, I wouldn't think for a second he had any direct involvement other than putting up cash. Adam McKay directed the first episode and kinda set the tone a little, but I'd be surprised if he had very much involvement after that. You'd have to ask them, of course, but I doubt it.

Given it's a very British style of comedy anyway, and absolutely nothing like what Will Ferrel does, and given Jesse Armstrong has form for stuff exactly in the style (like The Thick of It) - it points much more strongly in the direction of the person actually credited plus an actual writing staff. If Ferrel or McKay had one line they'd have writing credits. The show really is an evolution of The Thick of It/In the Loop but US-based, toned down for US audiences and given a huge budget.

If he dropped that track IRL, many people in 2024 would unironically think the rap is great. Your reactions to "Succession" are damn good.
