El Camino Youtube & Uncut Reaction

The Breaking Bad Movie is here. Continuing the rest of Breaking Bad with Jesse's story and ending it with Jesse's story. Couldn't have picked a better character..let's see what madness we'll be getting ourselves into.

Was just about to ask this! Looks like you got my subscription for atleast another whole show worth.

This Sunday/Monday!

James Adams

When is better call Saul coming?

Chris

I love that when Jesse asks for the cash, he uses the word "favor". Like when he told Walt to just ask him for a favor.

ThiccRoman

Same^^^^^

Clinging onto the last vestiges of my sanity waiting for BCS.

Lars Jonsson

I am chomping at the bit for BCS. Hope your vaca was good James.

Taylor Olsoy

Just a friendly reminder to everyone before BCS to not post comments like whos your favourite character, or what season you like the most or what dynamics to look forward to. THOSE COMMENTS ARE SPOILERS TOO! other than that, have a great weekend y’all! ❤️

My bad, you’re right. It was for the movie date announcement.

Couple days late since this has been out. But since you asked during the reaction and I haven't seen it answered, the scene with Jesse and Walt takes place right after the episode "4 Days Out" in Season 2, which is when they both got stranded out in the desert. You can tell because you can see Jesse taking an ice bath, his room temp is set to 59 degrees, Jesse is talking to (presumably) Jane on the phone, and Jesse and Walt have separate hotel rooms and eat at a diner. Which is exactly what Jesse tells Walt he wants to do after they finish their meth batch, but doesn't realize that he's killed the RV's battery by leaving the keys in the ignition. It's a great display of attention to small details.

Tom McTernan

Ive been pushing for this one

Ken Veader

He's super talented

Tetley

That was actually not part of the movie, just a promo clip to whet the appetite, is what I heard

Anthony L

I loved it, and definitely agree. Cinematography was absolutely beautiful, and the whole cast nailed it. Honestly, after seeing his work in the past few years, I think that Harry Melling is shaping up to be a fantastic character actor.

Nathanael Hammett

It's got some cool characters in it. Fred Melamed plays one of the all-time great domestic villains. Funny stuff. Yeah absolutely! Macbeth was really well done. So stylish. So well shot. And Kathryn Hunter absolutely knocks it out of the park playing the witches! That was some really memorable acting. Did you like it?

Tetley

Tetley, that’s one of the very few from the Coens that I haven’t seen. I don’t know why, I guess it just didn’t grab me when it was released. I don’t remember it being marketed terribly well, that could’ve been a factor. I’ll have to check it out though. Speaking of the Coens, did you see Joel’s take on MacBeth?

Nathanael Hammett

Talking about overlooked films by big directors, what about the Coen's A Serious Man? Great location film. And great film.

Tetley

If not then he definitely should. Tarantino’s most overlooked film, and one of his best IMO

Nathanael Hammett

I forget if James has seen Jackie Brown or not? Robert Forrester and Pam Grier are killer in it.

Rant Casey

James reading this: "who the hell is Jimmy?"

Payam Sharifi

They have a deleted scene of Skinny Pete being interrogated on YouTube, its a pretty cool. You should check it out sometime.

I was a Classical Civilization major, and I find it interesting how Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul have parallels with The Iliad and The Odyssey. Both stories are about the same major events, and they involve some of the same characters. Breaking Bad is clearly analogous to The Iliad, which is a tight, tense story about a great warrior and his self-destructive pride. Better Call Saul is like The Odyssey, which is a sprawling, slower-paced epic about a liar/trickster who relies on his wits, not force. I hope that doesn't count as a spoiler: I think it's clear that Jimmy and Walter have different methods (!)
