Captain Phillips (2013) Uncut Reaction!

Comments

There's an old movie from 1989 that was an excellent example of suspense thriller or psychological horror. It was one of Nicole Kidman's first leading roles alongside Sam Neil and Billy Zane. It's called Dead Calm. As is suggested by the title it takes place on the water as well. I haven't heard about it in a long time, but it came to mind at the end of Captain Phillips. You might want to consider including it in a future poll.

Hey man how’s it going, just wanted to point out that I can’t see the movie screen in the reaction video after the first few minutes and also that the audio is kinda low as well. Any way to fix around that? Thanks

Speaking of great casts: MICHAEL CLAYTON with George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson, Tilda Swinton, and Sydney Pollack.

Linda

What a cast!

Tetley

Watched Tar recently and absolutely loved it. I was rooting for Cate Blanchett at the Oscars

Nathanael Hammett

Can’t wait for Breaking Bad today!!! So excited for these episodes today

Owen Young

Yes! Good call.

Linda

I’ll add Tár to this since it’s by the same director and it’s amazing!

Kaitlin

Happy to hear it! Keep being kind to yourself!!

Probably one of most ambitious "location" films has to be Dogville by Lars Von Trier. I feel like that's a true gamechanger for filmmakers and film fans alike.

Rant Casey

No problem. :)

Cody Price

Hahaha I felt that “seriously” 👌🏽😭

James Adams

Ayyy thanks Cody!

James Adams

Doing good! Thank you!! <33

James Adams

I’m doing great!! Thank you!

James Adams

A good film for location is In the Bedroom (2001) with Sissy Spacek, Tom Wilkinson, and Marisa Tomei. Seriously.

Linda

Hi James. Hope you are doing well. By the way, as far as great production design might checkout Tom Hanks latest film Elvis (2022). They do a great job at recreating 1950’s Memphis, late 1960’s LA, 1970’s Las Vegas, and recreating Graceland in a film that was primarily shot in Australia. Also, Austin Butler gives one of the best performances of the year in that film and Tom Hanks is in one of his few antagonist roles of his career. Thought you might like it. :)

Cody Price

How you doing, buddy?

Kaitlin

Hope your doing well today

Matt
