I’m surprised it did so well in this poll. (Tho when you’re up against the 2001 Apes, not too hard lol) I just got the Criterion copy and everytime I watch it I learn something new. Also I am wondering how his editor would manage something YouTube friendly. 😂

2022-09-20 04:57:00 +0000 UTCIt holds up extremely well because they focused on the story rather than trying to give hacking a fake visual component like a ton of movies did during that time. Yes, a little suspension of disbelief is needed, but mostly it just holds up as a classic film in the genre.

2022-09-20 04:35:51 +0000 UTCI remember liking Sneaker's as an older child (I believe I saw it in the theater with my parents). I have not seen it in at least 15 years and am curious how it holds up. I always remember it as the 90s "internet thriller" that should have gotten all the praise, but instead everyone latched on to "Hackers" and Sandra Bullock's "The Net" and declared the genre dead. I am also curious how well "Johnny Mnemonic" holds up.
