Yeah probably best to just start at the top with Altman and see Nashville, since that's pretty much overlapping dialogue taken to the extreme. I saw the 4K print in a theater a couple years back and that sound system really did a lot for taken in the whole breadth of the sound design.

2022-01-22 09:10:44 +0000 UTCJames, if you like overlapping dialogue, then Robert Altman should be your patron saint. Also that is H.R. Giger designing the alien ship and the alien. I have not seen Alien Covenant but I cannot imagine it had anything as scary as the last half hour of this. Strobe lights, steam and great sound design go a long way.
