Movie Reaction Poll

Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely Sunday and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday & Wednesday!

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first!

Comments

Looking forward to Dark city haven't seen that in years

Matt

Clocking it in with The Goonies, Chinatown, and Dark City for Friday!

James Adams

I'd vote for an Ealing comedy every time. Although I do prefer The Ladykillers.

Damian Christopher

Chinatown pulling out front!

Bert Taverner

I wonder if I can get any support for Kind Hearts and Coronets. I know it’s kind of a long shot. Anyone? I’m going to mention it again closer to the top of the next post.

Kate Cassidy

Beverly hills cop is another good 80's movie!

Stephen Tolputt

I think Chinatown could keep getting 3rd place for a while

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

I haven't seen it in like 35 years, but 9 year old me really liked it.

Ken

I'm not recommending it, but does anyone here think Cocoon is a worthy watch?

Robert Kruger

Saw it, not impressed. Don't get me wrong, the backstory is so good to know, but the series did a far better job. The acting is meh, the cinematography was mundane or less, the script didn't really grip me and it's a shame because there's so much there.

Robert Kruger

I also recommend Jacob's Ladder (the first version anyway).

Brett Coster

Has anyone recommended Jacob's Ladder? That's a must watch! Denezel's Equalizer is another one. Antoine Fuqua does amazing camera work.

Charles Allen

Although I probably won't vote for it, I'm curious what James would think of "Into the Wild", as (judging by this page) he's somewhat of an outdoorsman, himself. I wonder if he's at least familiar with the story (or maybe even read the book).

Carl Lyngholm

Please try to watch 'Unforgiven' with Clint and Morgan. best western and directing

Randall Keizer

Will add for the next time!

James Adams

Yup!

James Adams

I’ve watched the first one! 🙏🏽

James Adams

@James: Have you watched „Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri“ (2017)? It’s such a great movie! Sad, very funny, and unpredictable.

Underwater Sunlight (Eddy)

Such a great film from 1985. The cast is spectacular

Jon Bradley

By the way, if you are looking for a film for the next poll, Silverado just hit Netflix. A very fun western from the screenwriter of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Empire Strikes Back. Stars Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn (Stick from Daredevil), Kevin Costner, and Danny Glover.

Cody Price

As ever: 1. Chinatown 2. Excalibur

Brett Coster

Manhunter! Woo! SUCH a good film. If the people voting haven't seen it, do vote for it so you can see what you're missing. lol

Limekiller

Would love to see this but I don't know of any place where you can watch it now, I think it's in streaming limbo.

Rhinehold

I am up for most of that list so those got votes ... I also highly recommend the 1990 film starring Christian Slater titled "Pump Up The Volume" where he plays a pirate radio DJ

Jon Bradley

TV shows, repeat... TV shows. NOT the movie.

Michael Llaneza

Hey, how about Cloverfield itself before 10 Cloverfield Lane? pretty please - thanks James. Love from Kentucky

Marsha Lynch

I voted Cloverfield hopefully you seen the first one

Jerry89

Have you seen the first Cloverfield?

Matt

It would be cool if you put the x-men movies on the list James! Some of them are pretty great and very different from superhero movies today and Avatar The Last Airbender would also be pretty neat, one of the best tv shows of all time!

Dark City is gonna be great:)

GamerGal8684

Excalibur needs more eyes, it's the best Arthurian movie by far.

Paul Steffens

Voting for Chinatown this time!

Sonia Deepak

Alright, time to mosey on over to Chinatown

Bert Taverner

I would love to see The Third Man covered here.

Kaitlin

James, you need to put the movie Network(1976) on your next list. It's so much more relevant to today than it was back then. That movie, imo, will blow your freakin' mind.

H Blackwell

I would like to double down on my earlier suggestion of The Third Man for your consideration.

Damian Christopher

Remember: watch the Director's Cut of Dark City, not the Theatrical Cut.

Heath Cowart

10 Cloverfield Lane is actually pretty good

Is there a relatively convenient way to see the original cut? I have only seen the version with the silly animation transitions

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

Primal Fear... oh, wait... :/

2old4gamez

I'm gearing up such a Valentine's Day themed list for February. Idgaf. I'm putting romance back in the rotation!

Kaitlin

What a soundtrack! Michael Mann early days... Brian Cox is my Hannibal. Tiger scene!

Jon Johns

If you watch 10 Cloverfield Lane, make sure you’ve seen Cloverfield first. I asked on your last poll but no response. Both are great!

Brittyn Lindsey

Wasn't expecting warriors to be on the list, cult classic! Also vote for into the wild, maybe not well known but perfect for a reaction

Fasho!

James Adams

Oh my god. YES! Manhunter. The first prequel to Silence of the Lambs.

Penultimate Tommy Wiseau

#rigthepolls

Lily

10 bucks to everyone who votes for into the wild

Lily

Is there any chance we can put Stranger Than Fiction on the list if you haven't seen it before? I find the movie making in that movie very unique and the message about methods of writing fiction and nihilism very interesting.

Rhinehold

If The Warriors wins, make sure it's not the Director's Cut.

Mr Zilla

Going Die Hard 2 and Goonies.

Cody Price
