Movie Reaction Poll

Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely Sunday and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday & Wednesday!

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first!

I'm so excited for you to see Amadeus!

Kaitlin

Saw Eyes Wide Shut take 2nd place in the 13th hour lol. Really stoked for Amadeus and Police Story. I was late to the Jackie Chan game, so I saw PS only just earlier this year on the Criterion streaming site and I'll tell you, it blew me away! Also saw Amadeus by myself on a certain substance that ends with the number 25 and was so bummed by the ending, I had to watch Monty Python's Flying Circus episodes to cheer me up. Totally don't regret it, though...life ain't life without a little sadness and Amadeus is beyond amazing! We gotta get you to watch Milos Forman's other major, major, MAJOR American film One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest in spite of the fact that his '60s Czech New Wave films Loves of a Blonde and The Fireman's Ball are also highly recommended

Bert Taverner

So happy Amadeus is leading.

ChickensAreRacist

As of now; the polls have closed with Amadeus and A Police Story. This was an extremely close one so stay tuned for those selections on the next poll!

James Adams

Dang, just popped in to check up on this to see Police Story sneaking up for the 2nd spot! No problems with that getting picked whatsoever!

Bert Taverner

You should check out out the Karate Kid franchise from the 80’s and early 90’s. It is awesome, but later on the Cobra Kai TV series continued the franchise. So would have to watch the first four films and then the TV series afterwards. The I would do it though is ai would watch each Cobra Kai season as one big 2 and a half hour film because that is what it is. Almost every episode is shorter than 30 minutes most are about 25 to 28 minutes a piece. Going into season 4 this New Year’s Eve.

Cody Price

It also won best picture, actress and supporting actress as well. It beat Saving Private Ryan

Bert Taverner

The Poseidon Adventure is Sooooooo good for its genre. Disaster movies are often just fun eye candy, but this one has soul.

Robert Kruger

For amazing visuals and a great romance, Shakespeare in Love is a great pick to add. The costuming won awards as it should.

Robert Kruger

It's a great drama and comedy, way underrated. The music by Cat Stephens is great as well.

Robert Kruger

Once again, so many good/great films to choose from. My 2 favourites are: 1. Amadeus, a wonderful view of who Mozart was (although highly libelous to Salieri) 2. Chinatown - Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown.

Brett Coster

Hundreds of other people worked their butts off contributing to Chinatown that had nothing to do with Polanski other than being coworkers. It’s an excellent film that deserves to be seen.

Christiaan Van den Akker

I doubt China Town will win this week, but if it can stay around a few weeks it will build momentum. James needs at least a little Polanski (yes he is a pedophile and rapist, I know, but his work into the early 70s was so good).

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

Oh snap Chinatown is on the list now!

Bert Taverner

I am once again asking for your support in getting Lost in Translation in the top 2 πŸ™

Patrick

Dark City!!! One of Keifer Sutherlands best roles

I guess I'll vote for Harold and Maude and Dark City, two of the underdogs.

Damian Christopher

It may never win, but the fact that James keeps putting it up means it will probably be a Friday pick eventually.

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

I fear Harold and Maude will never win. It is a must see.

Randall Bott

Dark City made the list !!! LET'S GOOOOO!!!

Bd Blake

Police Story ! James needs Jackie Chan in his life !

Michael Llaneza

Tommy Boy. I can't not vote for this.

I’m not giving up on Amadeus!!

Deirdre K

Police Story 🀞🏻🀞🏻

Justin McDonald

Yes!!!!! Far too few reactors including Tommy Boy in their reactions. One of my all time favorites too! 😊

Maria Yarber

By the way, since watching holiday off an on this month you should check out The Poseidon Adventure on New Year’s. That action adventure disaster film takes place on New Year’s Eve/Day. Stars Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, and Shelly Winters as well. Also, has one of the scariest looking stunts of all-time in that film.

Cody Price

Last Crusade and Chinatown for the win.

Cody Price

Harold and Maude is not an exciting, edge-of-your-seat thing, but, like 12 Angry Men it's a simple, deep - and, in this case funny - movie I think you'd really get a kick out of!

Rhonda Turner

OMG TOMMY BOY!!! Maybe my favorite comedy of all time, the chemistry between Chris Farley (RIP) and David Spade is just incredible and never gets stale. I'll vote for Tommy Boy every time!

WhatRaySay

Ah, it's the usual list we're fist fighting over. :D Once again, I'm with hilarious sweet romance Harold and Maude. And Amadeus, of course.

Kaitlin

Ok trying for Lost in Translation one more time

Sabra Lee

Gah!! So many good movies!

Sonia Deepak

+1

Eyes Wide Shut and Chinatown are both incredible. Hopefully James can see both of them

Dark city a thousand percent! πŸ–€
