Man, where did you even find a theatrical cut? Making my ass do work. There are significant differences, so very difficult to synchronize with only a starting frame every 30 minutes when you don't have the same cut. I really wish you would embed a blurred image like so many other reactors.

Loved your observations on those natural camera movements, and how they controlled the flow of information. I've seen this movie a zillion times, and I tend to get lost in the awesome satire and technical achievement of it all, but you really made me think about what the movie has to say about Free Will.

It is not nearly as well written or directed of a movie, but it has a lot of fun elements, a few crazy ideas, and some continuation of Robocop coping with being a dead person with a living former family. It feels like a slightly more cartoonish version of the world you saw in this movie, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Nothing else Robocop, movie wise, is worth watching.

2021-11-25 00:20:50 +0000 UTCIf you like Robocop, got to checkout Lethal Weapon franchise with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover if you have not. Great Buddy Cop franchise. Mel Gibson’s character, Riggs, actually leaves more overall damage in an action scene than RoboCop typically does, and he is also unpredictable and has a sense of humor.
