Added 2021-07-19 17:40:48 +0000 UTCVote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely THURSDAY and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday and Wednesday!
No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first! :)

A few suggestion to maybe add to your list: Sling Blade (1996) The Book of Eli (2010) The Fugitive (1993) Wild Things (1998)

2021-07-23 05:45:12 +0000 UTCJames, do you watch any sports movies? Olympics start tomorrow. I was trying to find some Olympic themed movies. Miracle, Prefontaine, Chariots of Fire, Nadia, and my favorite nostalgia watch: Animalypics (with the 84 olympics boycott, these were supposed to play during broadcasts. So the turned the vignettes into a movie. The animation showcases future big time names in Disney & Pixar. It’s fun to watch but you gotta be in the animation mood.)

2021-07-23 03:19:41 +0000 UTCHey James Respectfully i agree with BD Blake. Listen i love Indiana Jones and Kubrick. But unfortunately the lesser known gems are being overlooked by mainstream films. Indie movie: Ran Pop Movie: Full Metal Jacket Dealers Choice: Before Midnight Ps you should finish the Before trilogy regardless of pollss in my opinion. Anyway James hope you consider. All the best dude

2021-07-21 20:09:22 +0000 UTCOne of these days, RAN is going to win

2021-07-21 09:42:19 +0000 UTCIt's not that kind of trilogy. Watch and enjoy in any order.
Ken
2021-07-20 23:44:56 +0000 UTCALSO, James, if you are going Indiana Jones, start with Temple of Doom. It is the start of Indy's character arc over the trilogy and more rewarding if watched in chronological order over release order. That is all.
Bd Blake
2021-07-20 23:22:18 +0000 UTCI agree wholeheartedly with Bd Blake's suggestion, so my three votes are: 1. Ran (Indie) 2. Raiders of the Lost Ark (Pop) 3. Full Metal Jacket (Dealer's choice) All are very good movies.

2021-07-20 21:45:16 +0000 UTCI know it’ll probably never win a poll, but I really think you’d love Adaptation. It is bizarre and funny and beautifully, subtly acted.

2021-07-20 19:55:44 +0000 UTCI like Indiana Jones but the before trilogy needs some love too
Matt
2021-07-20 06:18:55 +0000 UTCYou should finish the Before Trilogy as your Thursday movie!
2021-07-20 04:10:42 +0000 UTCJames, you need two categories. A Indie Categorie and a Pop Categorie. The Popular Movies are going to totally destroy the Indie Movies. We've been staring at RAN for like a month now. Your peanut gallery here are all big fans of it, but the masses only want what they know: Pop Movies. Indie Movie Monday Pop Movie Wednesday Dealer's Choice Thursday I have voted. I have spoken. I am done.
Bd Blake
2021-07-20 03:32:52 +0000 UTCI can't wait for a First Man reaction, hope The Handmaiden and Climax get reactions too
Matt
2021-07-20 02:26:18 +0000 UTCJarhead and First Man are underrated
Nick Parker
2021-07-20 01:59:58 +0000 UTCAdaptation, best Nick Cage? Yes. Why? Double Cage!!

2021-07-20 01:28:33 +0000 UTCHow have you not seen Raiders of the Lost Ark yet? Absolute classic! Spotlight -- the most jarring thing is it really happened and continues to happen. The ending right before the credits will rock you to your core. It just will. Ran -- Kurosawa's brilliant retelling of the Shakespeare play King Lear set in medieval Japan.. Full Metal Jacket -- Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece on the Vietnam War and it made R Lee Ermey into a household name in the process Equalizer -- Denzel doing a brilliant turn in a remake of the 80s TV series All solid choices

2021-07-19 22:44:54 +0000 UTCSpotlight messed me up fr, I honestly had no clue until that movie

2021-07-19 21:17:33 +0000 UTCLots of good ones on this, but I'm throwing my vote in for Ran since it seems like it's the underdog

2021-07-19 19:56:52 +0000 UTCI would have loved for him to react to Stalker. :<
2021-07-19 19:53:09 +0000 UTCBrothers with jake gyhillanhall and Toby Maguires best performance ever unbelievable film
2021-07-19 18:49:50 +0000 UTCWelp, Raiders and FMJ already have this sewn up. But Ran has my vote
Ken
2021-07-19 18:20:03 +0000 UTCAdaptation is excellent! You’ll really enjoy it as a filmmaker. I saw it in the theater, and rewatched it a couple weeks ago. 9/10 for me.

2021-07-19 18:06:30 +0000 UTCOh man I hadn't realized you still haven't seen Full Metal Jacket, that definitely gets my vote!

2021-07-19 17:54:30 +0000 UTCI’m Indiana Jones and Spotlight all the way. :)

2021-07-19 17:51:58 +0000 UTCI really wish people would vote for Kurosawa. After watching both Solaris and Stalker be on polls for months and never chosen, it seems like that’s what’s gonna happen again here. It’s sad too because both Tarkovsky and Kurosawa are incredible and have such amazing films and shaped the industry as we know it.
