I would love it. “ The Heart Asks Pleasure First” is still one of my favorite piano pieces.

2021-01-16 05:36:48 +0000 UTCYeah, how is Tombstone doing better than Blue Velvet!?
2021-01-15 07:00:41 +0000 UTCI really hope either Blue Velvet or Barry Lyndon win this poll. If you love framing and camera movement, both of those movies will blow your mind.

Angie
2021-01-13 21:33:48 +0000 UTCIf blue velvet won it would be your first reaction david lynch and i think every deserves the lynchian experience although mulholland drive is also a nice place to start.
2021-01-13 20:41:24 +0000 UTCJust watched your The Big Lebowski review. Here now to remind you that Raising Arizona needs to be an option for future polls. ;)

Sam JD
2021-01-13 11:11:04 +0000 UTCYou should see if you want to add Bronson to a future list. Features a younger Tom Hardy
2021-01-13 10:49:26 +0000 UTCalso can two people vote for Blue Velvet to bump it to second place?

2021-01-13 07:40:00 +0000 UTCThe Handmaiden is very unlikely going to win this week. Please include it in future polls!

2021-01-12 21:33:30 +0000 UTCSeen it and thought it was awesome. Brad Pitt’s best performance in my opinion
2021-01-12 12:30:33 +0000 UTCHopefully the two Westerns get up. Both are superb. Wonderfully filmed with some phenomenal performances
2021-01-12 12:28:14 +0000 UTCHey James, did you watched Mr. Robot? If not I would heavily recommend it to you. It's one of the best Shows I ever watched. From a filmmaking standpoint it's a modern masterpice. It's shot beautifully, the acting is on another level. In general a sensation of a show. Maybe you consider it in the future. Im sure you will love it.
2021-01-12 09:51:12 +0000 UTCof the same era I would think the duelist

2021-01-12 06:20:33 +0000 UTCThis is the End is my #1 favorite comedy in the last 20 years. It’s especially good if you’re familiar with the actors’ other with like Freaks and Geeks and! Pineapple Express!

2021-01-12 02:53:04 +0000 UTCI’m adding it to my list now!

2021-01-12 02:51:47 +0000 UTCI just rewatched The Handmaiden this weekend. Such an amazing movie, I wanted to recommend it for this poll but I see I was beaten to it :-). Before I first saw it I thought it would be a historical drama, it is a bit but quickly turned into something else, and then into something else again... It is a rollercoaster of genres and the movie doesn't blink an eye and dares you to hold on.I'm afraid it will not get many votes because not enough people saw it but it deserves to be viewed.

2021-01-12 01:56:30 +0000 UTCTombstone is awesome !
Anakin Starkiller
2021-01-12 01:53:34 +0000 UTCSo many good ones! I'm still pushing for Gattaca because it's an underrated scifi classic. Hoping it makes the "James pick of the week". Come on scifi nerd faction!
Sonia Deepak
2021-01-12 00:14:17 +0000 UTCactually would love to see you react to some of sacha baron cohen’s work if you aren’t already familiar of course like borat (2006) and brüno (2009) then you could dive into all his work on your own if you wish, he’s a genius
Lily
2021-01-11 23:47:27 +0000 UTCyo james, would you be down to react to some more comedies? whether you put it on the poll or pick one for thursday as a lil departure from the serious stuff... have you seen superbad/knocked up/pineapple express/this is the end/get him to the greek/forgetting sarah marshall for example? i just think they would be fun to see you react to one of them, any judd apatow ones are good 😂
Lily
2021-01-11 23:44:27 +0000 UTCI don't know if you'll be able to find it but I'd love for you to watch The Boat That Rocked (2009)
Sean Turner
2021-01-11 22:27:09 +0000 UTCMan, more great choices. I feel like the 2nd and 3rd place choices should be reused for the next poll lol

2021-01-11 21:29:48 +0000 UTCmarriage story is good..but Tombstone is my huckleberry
Melissa Tomlin
2021-01-11 21:11:49 +0000 UTCMarriage story has some of the best acting I’ve ever seen in a movie. Totally heartbreaking
2021-01-11 21:08:27 +0000 UTCWasn't Kiss Kiss Bang Bang on here last week? I was hoping that would stay up. Such a great film and a good follow up after Nice Guys
2021-01-11 20:13:49 +0000 UTCTrainspotting 2 is great, but Tombstone is not trash! Val kilmer kills it in that movie
River Black

2021-01-11 19:27:21 +0000 UTCI’ve seen Hot Fuzz!
James Adams
2021-01-11 19:24:36 +0000 UTCAssassination of Jesse James is SUCH a good film. Sadly, not enough people have seen it so it never seems to get enough votes. James, just watch it anyway because of your love for Roger Deakins! 🙂
Brittyn Lindsey
2021-01-11 19:21:34 +0000 UTCOnwards, my fellow Barry Lydon voters! We must push-on to victory!
2021-01-11 19:14:54 +0000 UTCExciting stuff! Although I'm still patiently waiting for Hot Fuzz. Would be so fun to see you go through my favorite comedy! I'd even pay more on Patreon just to watch the whole recording, haha. If you ever do pick up Hot Fuzz on bluray, there's a pretty awesome commentary track by Quentin Tarantino and Edgar Wright. They talk about a lot of movies, influences, and movie-making in general.
2021-01-11 18:59:49 +0000 UTCThe Handmaiden is gorgeous to look at and the story engrossing. Very underrated.
Angie
2021-01-11 18:59:25 +0000 UTCBringing it back to the next one!
James Adams
2021-01-11 18:41:58 +0000 UTCI hope you add Call Me By Your Name back to the future polls 🙏
Brittyn Lindsey
2021-01-11 18:37:36 +0000 UTCIt was especially heartbreaking for me because it brought me back to my parents’ divorce and what they were going through. Adam Driver is so amazing in this.
Brittyn Lindsey
2021-01-11 18:37:09 +0000 UTCThe Assassination of Jesse James and Ford v Ferrari

2021-01-11 18:26:27 +0000 UTCI wasn't expecting Marriage Story to grab me the way it did, not to be missed!
MackenzieJ
2021-01-11 18:15:50 +0000 UTCCan't help but think Bone Tomahawk should be viewed before Cell Block.
Jason Cooley
2021-01-11 18:11:52 +0000 UTCat this point I’m like Patrick Star with Rocky, telling Barry you can go when you feel like it
nick moose
2021-01-11 18:10:58 +0000 UTCPLEASE! Cell Block 99. If you like brutal action, look no further! Not a big Vince Vaughn fan, but he is a wrecking machine in this!
